As a seasoned gamer and theme park enthusiast with decades of experience under my belt, I can confidently say that the announcement of Universal Orlando‘s Epic Universe is nothing short of electrifying! Having journeyed through countless virtual worlds, I am thrilled at the prospect of immersing myself in the tangible realms of Nintendo, Harry Potter, How to Train Your Dragon, and even the classic monster flicks.
Universal Studios has announced that their fourth theme park in Orlando, Florida, named Epic Universe, will open to the public on May 22, 2025. Known as the company’s most ambitious project yet, Epic Universe is situated on a vast 750-acre plot of land.
The park will consist of five distinct areas inspired by various Universal film series, like Nintendo, Harry Potter, and How to Train Your Dragon. One area, titled Dark Universe, is themed after classic monster movies produced by Universal, such as Frankenstein, Dracula, and the Wolf Man.
The Universal Helios Grand Hotel, a new addition alongside the park, will provide guests with a dedicated entryway into the Epic Universe.
Even though the grand opening is a few months off, Universal has started selling ticket bundles for Epic Universe. These packages include options for 3 to 5 days, but on only one of those days can you access Epic itself, while the remaining days allow visitors to explore other Universal theme parks instead.
On October 22 (Tuesday), a restricted quantity of ticket deals will become available for purchase by the general public. Meanwhile, starting from October 24 (Thursday), Annual Passholders at Universal will enjoy the privilege of purchasing single-day tickets for Epic Universe ahead of everyone else.
