Reflecting upon the magical journey that commenced 12 years ago with “Student of The Year,” I can’t help but be overwhelmed by the whirlwind of emotions and memories this film evokes. It was more than just a debut for Alia Bhatt, Varun Dhawan, and Sidharth Malhotra; it was the start of an extraordinary era in Bollywood, a time that continues to resonate with all of us who fell in love with their characters as they navigated the hallowed halls of St. Teresa’s College.
The movie “Student of the Year” stands out uniquely because it was the initial appearance on the big screen for three highly acclaimed Bollywood actors, Alia Bhatt, Varun Dhawan, and Sidharth Malhotra. On October 19, 2024, ten years after its premiere, Varun shared a video of himself grooving to the hit song Ishq Wala Love. Meanwhile, director Karan Johar reminisced about the wonderful times spent with the cast and offered a peek behind the scenes.
Currently, Varun Dhawan utilized Instagram Stories to mark the 12-year milestone of his debut movie, Student of the Year. In a clip, he could be spotted enjoying a ride in his vehicle with the melodious tune Ishq Wala Love serenading him as backdrop music.
The actor expressed, “It’s been 12 years since ‘Student of the Year’, 12 years since ‘Ishq Wala Love’, and the song currently playing on the radio is ‘Ishq Wala Love’. As we converse, I want to express my appreciation. So, thank you for these past 12 years, thank you Karan Johar, thank you to all the fans, thank you for all the love.” Gratefully acknowledging this period, he added, “There’s much more to come in the next decade. Let’s continue our journey together.
