Neetu Kapoor reveals shaking before going to shoot after Rishi Kapoor’s demise; admits Ranbir Kapoor, Riddhima pushing her: ‘I’d go crazy’

As a lifestyle expert, I admire the resilience and courage of Neetu Kapoor, who gracefully navigated her personal and professional life with poise and dignity. Her journey from a leading actress in the late 70s to voluntarily stepping away from films after marriage, focusing on her family, and then returning to the big screen after a gap of nearly four decades is truly inspiring.

In the late 1970s, Neetu Kapoor was a prominent actress, but she stepped away from acting after marrying Rishi Kapoor. She returned to show business following his death in 2020. Recently, on an episode of Fabulous Lives Vs. Bollywood Wives S3, she disclosed that she had reservations about returning to work post Rishi Kapoor’s demise due to potential online criticism. However, her children, Riddhima Kapoor Sahni and Ranbir Kapoor, motivated her to continue.

Between 1980 and 2020, Neetu Kapoor appeared in film roles alongside her husband, but decided to take a break from acting after marriage to prioritize her family life. Yet, fans were pleased when she made a comeback on the silver screen with Karan Johar’s Jugjugg Jeeyo.

More recently, Riddhima joined the third season of Fabulous Lives vs Bollywood Wives, and in an episode, the venerable actress reminisced about a challenging period in her past.

Speaking about her decision to work after her father left, the actress stated, “When my father passed away, I wasn’t quite ready yet. You understand how intimidating trolls can be. However, you both (Riddhima and Ranbir) encouraged me. I started appearing in shows, ads, and I would always tremble before going on stage.

For anyone not aware, Neetu Kapoor got married to Rishi Kapoor in 1980, and their marriage spanned 40 years before his passing was a significant loss for the actress. She reminisced about those challenging times and shared that she plans to proceed cautiously and strive to discover a new direction in life.

Kapoor expressed that if she hadn’t left home and been active, she might have gone insane. However, today, she feels significantly improved. To be honest, she wasn’t feeling well as recently as last year. Meanwhile, Kapoor is also engaged in brand endorsements and can be seen delighting in time spent with her children and grandchildren.

In terms of her career, Neetu Kapoor first appeared on television as a judge for Dance Deewane Juniors in the year 2022, and she is set to appear alongside Sunny Kaushal in Letters to Mr. Khanna for her next project.
