Metaphor: ReFantazio - How To Beat All Elmenta

As a seasoned gamer with over two decades of gaming under my belt, I’ve faced my fair share of challenging foes – from the Hand enemies in Persona to the Crystal Lizards in Dark Souls. But nothing quite prepared me for the Elementa in Metaphor: ReFantazio!

In a World Shrouded in Allegory: I find myself captivated by the mystical entities known as ReFantazios. These enigmatic figures appear as ethereal spheres, each embodying unique elemental abilities – be it the fiery passion of flames, the icy tranquility of frost, the electrifying energy of sparks, or the wind’s whispered secrets.

In this article, you’ll discover strategies on how to conquer each of the elusive creatures known as Elementas, much like the unique foes found in other role-playing games such as Persona’s Hands or Dark Souls’ Crystal Lizards. These rare adversaries are famed for the lucrative prizes they bestow upon their vanquishers.

How To Beat All Elmenta in Metaphor: ReFantazio

In the game ReFantazio: Metaphor, to conquer every Elementa, it’s essential to learn about their distinctive characteristics and exploit their specific vulnerabilities.

These adversaries seldom appear, yet they provide substantial payoffs. However, the difficulty lies in the fact that Elementas don’t engage in combat—they retreat the moment it’s their turn. Consequently, your objective becomes inflicting maximum damage on them before they can make their escape.

Because they move too fast to be caught easily, employ skills or items such as the Phantasmal Doll to facilitate quick responses and boost your damage output.

In other words, the Phantasmal Doll doesn’t provide an additional turn for your whole team during battle rotations. Instead, it grants a particular character the ability to take two consecutive actions.

This item is especially valuable for characters who can take advantage of an Elementa’s elemental vulnerability or inflict the highest damage. You can purchase the Phantasmal Doll from the magic shop located in Grand Trad, but be prepared as it comes at a hefty price tag of approximately 49,000 Reeve.

Since the store operates solely during the evening hours, make sure to adjust your visit schedule accordingly.

Here are some extra tactics to defeat each elementa:

Blue Elementa

The Blue Elementa is one of the first types of Elementa you’ll encounter.

This entity is particularly susceptible to attacks involving fire. When you come across it, make sure you’re armed with fire-related abilities like Blaze, Geyser, or any other skills that focus on the element of fire.

These spells are typically available to characters with Mage or Magic Seeker Archetypes. Blue Elementa can be found in areas like the outskirts of Grand Trad or specific dungeons like Belega Corridor.

It drops the rare Splintering Ice Crystal for enhancing gear and valuable Onyx for selling.

Red Elementa

The Red Elementa, as its color suggests, is vulnerable to Ice attacks.

Spells such as Blizz, Gablizz, or Blizzaton are known for inflicting the highest damage and have a chance to cause critical strikes, which grant extra turns.

In most cases, it’s advantageous to choose the Mage or Wizard character types in this fight, as they possess powerful ice-based abilities.

If you don’t have those specific skills, alternatives like Ice Pieces can serve similar purposes in inflicting ice-type damage. Frequently encountered in mid-level dungeons, Red Elementa is a common sight in places like areas underneath castles or around the Martira Outskirts.

As a gamer, I always get pumped when I manage to take down that tough element, knowing it may drop precious loot such as the coveted Lava Crystals and Peridots. These treasures are either valuable enough to earn me some Reeve coins or handy for my crafting projects.

Green Elementa

Green Element’s primary vulnerability lies in electric-based attacks, making spells such as Kande, Gakande, and Kandera particularly potent against it.

In the characters of Mage and Magic Knight Archetypes, you’ll discover they possess these abilities. Notably, Magic Knights can handle electrical weapons too. However, it is advisable to steer clear of wind-based attacks since Green Elementals exhibit a resistance towards them.

If electric skills are unavailable, consider using electric damage items that can target its weakness. Keep in mind that Green Elementa often appears in areas with inclement weather.

They occasionally discard precious artifacts like the Wind-Battle Flute (used for wind-focused assaults) and Amethyst (which can be exchanged for Reeve’s currency).

Golden Elementa

In simpler terms, the Golden Elemental creature can be weakened by wind-based assaults. So, abilities such as Cycle, Gale Cycle, or Cyclone would be particularly effective in defeating it.

In these situations, the Seeker and Magic Seeker character types prove very beneficial due to their diverse array of skills related to wind manipulation.

As a gamer, I’ve noticed that certain foes seem to pop up in designated zones, especially in tougher locations such as Virga Island or during adverse weather conditions.

Conquering them may prove quite profitable since they often yield scarce loot like the Electrifying Drum and Aquamarine, both of which can fetch a good price when used for crafting or sold.

To make the most out of farming each area called Elementa effectively, utilize their respawn system by exiting and re-entering dungeons or zones.
