- Eldgear is a new SRPG from publisher Kemco, out now
- Find it on iOS and Android
- Taking you to a world of constant warfare you’ll mix and match abilities as you battle
As someone who’s spent countless hours immersed in the tactical world of SRPGs, I can confidently say that Eldgear, fresh off the press from Kemco, is a game that’s right up my alley. With its strategic gameplay and open battlefields, it’s like a dream come true for me – a strategy junkie who’s also a fan of RPGs.
In terms of publishers, Kemco consistently excels in catering to a specific yet robust market segment. They have a knack for transferring Japanese Role-Playing Game (JRPG) experiences onto mobile devices, so whenever I come across their name, I’m assured it’s going to be enjoyable. Recently, they’ve added another fantastic title to their mobile collection with Eldgear now part of their roster.
Eldgear is a Strategic Role-Playing Game (SRPG), where SRPG stands for “strategic” if you’re not familiar with the term. In this game, you don’t just control your main character or hero, but also manage your entire party on an expansive battlefield. It blends tactical turn-based strategy with traditional RPG elements. You’ll enjoy optimizing your party’s abilities, while having the flexibility to adapt your strategies in real-time during open field battles.
To help you out, you also have two signature types of skills for Eldgear. EMA (Embedding abilities) and EXA (Expanding abilities) give you multiple ways to approach a battle, letting you experiment to see which fits you best. Unlike Kemco’s other releases, it doesn’t seem that Eldgear is set to feature a free demo, but it’s out now on iOS and Android!
Old gears
Kemco has left an indelible impression on me, and whenever I see their name associated with a game, I know exactly what to anticipate. Regrettably, it’s disappointing that prospective gamers can’t test out Eldgear through a demo, but for those craving strategy role-playing games, this is undoubtedly a highly anticipated release.
