The fusion of talents from James “Murr” Murray, Maclain Nelson, and a star-studded cast, including Lyndsy Fonseca, Russ, and Tom Cavanagh, promises an adrenaline-pumping ride that will keep me on the edge of my seat.
The exciting thriller concept originally conceived by James “Murr” Murray, a member of the Impractical Jokers team, will soon be brought to reality.
Actress Lyndsy Fonseca (known for “Kick-Ass”), musician Russ, and actor Tom Cavanagh (“The Flash”) are part of the cast in the movie titled “Don’t Move”. Principal photography for this film was completed in Kansas City last Friday. The horror-thriller is an adaptation of the 2020 bestselling novel with the same name, written by authors Murray and Darren Wearmouth.
Maclain Nelson, who co-wrote the script with Murray and Wearmouth, took on directing duties for the film. The main cast features Hunter King (known for “Life in Pieces”), Rob Riggle (“The Hangover”), and Joseph Lee Anderson (“Young Rock”). Notable cameos appear from T-Pain, Matt Biedel, as well as members Murray and Brian Quinn from “Impractical Jokers.
The story revolves around Megan Forrester (Fonseca), who attends a camping retreat with her church group following a devastating family tragedy. However, things take an unexpected turn when they unintentionally venture into a part of the forest that is home to a dangerous predator, among whom is the enigmatic Ricky Vargas (Russ).>
Many people inquire about how a Prankster like myself can pen horror stories, Murr explains in a statement. “Perhaps it could be suggested that what transpires on Jokers is a form of horror in itself. I’m thrilled to collaborate with this remarkable team and talented cast, bringing our book Don’t Move to life on the big screen.
Speaking about the project, Nelson remarks, “I’m absolutely excited to delve into a genuine horror movie! The incredibly gifted actors we’ve brought together for this production are simply remarkable. This tale will tug at your heartstrings and then tear it right out of your chest. I feel privileged that Murr has entrusted me with adapting his script and directing his first full-length narrative film.
David M. Wulf directs the movie that originates from Murr’s latest production company, Impractical Studios. Jeremy Starline, Gina James, Lou Magrone, Rich Osiashvili, and Brian Schell serve as executive producers for this project. Ethan Berman works as a co-producer, while Kylie Rohead is the associate producer.
