Nintendo Files New Trademarks For Hotels and Restaurants in Japan

As a seasoned gamer who’s spent countless hours immersed in the vibrant worlds of Splatoon, Pikmin, Animal Crossing, and Super Smash Bros., I must say I’m beyond excited about Nintendo‘s latest venture! The idea of stepping into a Nintendo-themed hotel or restaurant is like a dream come true. Imagine waking up in a Mario Kart-themed room, or having breakfast at a Splatoon-styled cafĂ©!

It’s possible that Nintendo might be considering expanding its property holdings in Japan, given that they have recently submitted multiple new property-related applications.

According to a report by Chinzai Watch, translated on SoraNews24, Nintendo has applied for trademarks in the Class 43 category, which pertains to hotel and restaurant businesses. Moreover, applications were also submitted for Japanese versions of “Splatoon,” “Pikmin,” the title of “Animal Crossing” in Japanese, and three symbols from the “Animal Crossing,” “Splatoon,” and “Super Smash Bros.” intellectual properties.

The paperwork might be applicable to services such as arranging accommodations, mediating lodging contracts, facilitating hotel reservations, serving food and drinks (including in restaurants and bars), pet-friendly accommodations, childcare for infants and toddlers, senior living facilities, conference room rentals, furnishing futons, providing furniture, offering tablecloths, glassware, or towels.

As a dedicated fan, I couldn’t contain my excitement when news about the filings broke, barely moments after the grand opening of the first ever Nintendo Museum in Kyoto. According to SoraNews 24, it seems this place could be expanding with its very own restaurant soon! To enhance the experience even further, enthusiasts like myself have the option to stay at a Nintendo-branded hotel. What an incredible immersion into the world of gaming!

Stay tuned for more info.
