As a seasoned gamer with over two decades under my belt, I must say that the Lake House DLC for Alan Wake 2 has left me utterly spellbound! The seamless integration of Control into this expansive universe is nothing short of genius, and it’s clear that Remedy Entertainment knows how to keep their fans on the edge of their seats.
One intriguing twist in the Lake House DLC for Alan Wake 2 is the appearance of the narrative from Control. Being a part of Remedy Entertainment’s interconnected universe, Control follows the journey of Jesse Faden as she takes on the position of Director at the Federal Bureau of Control (FBC). Notably, she made an appearance in Alan Wake 2’s initial DLC, Night Springs.
In addition to featuring a significant role for the main character from Control, this story expansion also hints at events in its upcoming sequel. This tutorial will show you how to access the teaser for Control 2 and uncover the whereabouts of Jesse’s brother, Dylan.
Make Your Way to Sublevel 4
The Lake House DLC doesn’t last long; it’s only around three hours of gameplay. Making your way to Sublevel 4 should be easy.
Once you’ve obtained the Level 3 Access Card and the Black Rock Launcher, you’ll gain access to Sublevel 4. This area, filled with documents, distortions, and hordes of Shaded and Painted entities, is a combat-intensive segment. Since it’s a fight-centric sequence, it’s wise to gear up accordingly.
Inspect the surrounding walls and have your Paintball Gun ready in case an enemy lurks in a hidden spot. You’ll be on the correct path once you reach the brightly lit central office.
Turn the Lights Off
Upon entering Diana Marnont’s brightly lit office, consider switching off the lights to change the appearance of the room. This action might facilitate your exit from this sinister place. However, prior to leaving for the elevator, make sure to survey the area carefully first.
Once you’ve switched off the lights, it’s Jules Marmont who suddenly makes an appearance, attempting to startle you. Rest assured, though. Go back into Diana’s office once more, and this time, pay attention to newly scattered notes strewn all around.
Pull the Light Switch Three Times
Upon examining the file close to the projector, a Light Switch will materialize before you. This power-related device is well-known to control fanatics, transporting game enthusiasts directly to the unique Oceanview Motel and Casino.
After flipping the switch thrice, you’ll find yourself at an enigmatic motel. Navigation should pose no challenge since there’s just a single pathway. Proceed along the lengthy hallway and locate a door bearing a mark that’s unfamiliar to us.
Talk to Dylan
Entering through the door takes us directly into the heart of the Panopticon, which is none other than the Oldest House, the central location of the FBC. This disclosure raises even more questions than it answers: What’s happening in this place, and where have all the others gone?
In my locality, I’m the lone soul, a captive in a confinement chamber, muttering about mysteries that remain veiled to me and the rest of us.
Have a conversation with him, and he’ll offer some valuable information about the current situation at the Federal Bureau of Control. Keep inquiring until a scene prompts a brief sneak peek into Control 2.
From the brief trailer, it’s unclear what transpires, but we catch glimpses of the Oldest House, a mysterious entity known as The Hiss, and structures reminiscent of those associated with Doctor Strange. We’re eager to learn more about the internal affairs of the Bureau, and what connection these peculiar buildings might have.
The second installation is currently under construction, revealing limited information at this time. However, one fact remains undeniable: we’re bracing ourselves for an enigmatic and unsettling journey through the Remedy Connected Universe.
