As a long-time fan of Dancing With the Stars, I must say that Disney Night never fails to bring magic and excitement to the ballroom! This year was no exception, even though some song choices might have been a tad offbeat. The costumes were fantastic, and the dances were as enchanting as ever.
During Season 33 of Dancing With the Stars, Disney Night made its return on the 2024 TV schedule. Although some of the music selections were debatable, it was just as enjoyable as always. The couples danced to both classic and modern tunes for the enchanting evening, and their costumes for the performances were impressive. Interestingly, professional dancer Rylee Arnold displayed partner Stephen Nedoroscik without a shirt, which prompted some entertaining comments from him, along with Taylor Lautner.
Arnold and Nedoroscik have been dancing up a storm and they kicked off Disney Night with a Charleston to “A Star is Born” from Hercules. So, the duo were, of course, dressed as Herc and Meg. But looking the part wasn’t just about getting in costume. The pommel horse specialist got his first spray tan so he could really look like the Greek God too, which Arnold was happy to document. She took to Instagram to share a fun video of the spray tan session, and the Disney music really completes it:

Although they didn’t achieve a flawless rating for their Charleston dance, I must admit that Nedoroscik’s sun-kissed glow was absolutely spot-on; it would make Hercules himself envious. However, getting a spray tan was the furthest thing from his thoughts, as it was an unfamiliar experience for him. To lighten the mood about this new adventure, he jokingly mentioned it in the comments section.

Given that Stephen Nedoroscik has earned an Olympic medal, it’s clear he maintains excellent physical fitness. Nevertheless, he hasn’t found a need to bare less clothing or get a spray tan for DWTS yet. Consequently, this was his first time experiencing such treatment. Many people have been appreciating the fresh perspective on the gymnast, with Taylor Lautner, known for being shirtless, among them. However, when he saw the video, he chose to focus his comments on something other than the tan: instead, expressing admiration for Stephen’s performance.
The music really puts this over the edge
Even spray tans videos couldn’t go without the Disney music this week, but it was perfect for this moment. Plus, it really highlighted Nedoroscik’s transformation into the Disney hero.
This week wasn’t just about Nedoroscik’s transformation; Ilona Maher, another Olympian, underwent one too during Disney Night. Her dance partner, Alan Bersten, disguised himself as a donkey for their Encanto performance, which was quite startling and made him almost unrecognizable. Everyone seemed to fully embrace the theme of Disney Night this week, and it’s wonderful to see such dedication.
It remains to be seen if Stephen Nedoroscik will opt for another spray tan or undergo a more substantial transformation in the future, but it appears he enjoyed the experience, which is ultimately what counts. Moreover, his fans are clearly captivated by him, so they’ll undoubtedly keep a close eye on his appearance and moves next week.
