Thamba: Ayushmann Khurrana and Rashmika Mandanna’s vampire film to have Nawazuddin Siddiqui as antagonist? here's what we know

As a seasoned movie enthusiast with a penchant for horror-comedies and a deep appreciation for the unique talents gracing our silver screens, I am thrilled to bits about the upcoming film, Thamba. The announcement of Nawazuddin Siddiqui joining the cast as the villain has sent a shiver down my spine, not just because of his chilling portrayals but also due to the sheer anticipation of witnessing him bring life to such an intriguing character.

Following the huge success of Stree 2, Amar Kaushik has confirmed he’ll produce Dinesh Vijan’s Thamba, a film set within his horror-comedy universe. Rumors indicate that Ayushmann Khurrana and Rashmika Mandanna will star in the lead roles. However, recent reports hint that Nawazuddin Siddiqui might take on the role of the villain in the upcoming production.

According to a source within the industry, the film Thamba is split into two eras. One portion takes place in a modern-day North Indian city, while another transports us back to the ancient Vijayanagara Empire. The role of the villain has been given to Nawazuddin Siddiqui, who will portray an unconventional yet violent character hailing from centuries past.

The article provides further insights into his character, mentioning that Badlapur’s renowned actor journeys to the current timeline with a dual purpose: to exact revenge and influence the fates of the primary characters portrayed by Ayushmann Khurrana and Rashmika Mandanna. Moreover, it is stated that he eagerly anticipates immersing himself in the horror-comedy genre and offering his unique take on the role.

In June, TopMob was first to announce that filmmaker Dinesh Vijan would collaborate once more with his Munjha director, Aditya Satpodar. The latest update reveals that the filmmaker intends to conduct a screen test with actor Nawazuddin Siddiqui following Diwali. It’s worth noting that the actress from the movie ‘Animal’ underwent her screen test last month, while Karthik Aryan completed his recently. Assuming all goes well, filming could commence at the end of November or early December, with the initial two weeks taking place at night in Mumbai. This will be followed by shooting schedules in Delhi in January and finally in South India.

Previously known as “Vampires of Vijay Nagar,” the movie in question is now going by an undisclosed title. Our sources have confirmed that Dream Girl 2 star, Ayushmann Khurrana, will be part of the film. It’s worth noting that Ayushmann and producer Dinesh Vijan have a strong creative rapport, having collaborated on Bala. They’ve been brainstorming this project for some time now, and it will represent the first collaboration between Ayushmann Khurrana and Rashmika Mandanna.
