As a seasoned wrestling fan with memories of watching The Boogeyman send shivers down my spine back in the day, I must say that his recent appearance left me utterly astonished. It’s been over a decade since he last graced our screens, and yet here he was, looking just as terrifying as ever!
Typically, Bianca Belair and Jade Cargill mainly focus on who might challenge their Women’s Tag-Team Championship title in the backstage area. They also take care to steer clear of The Wyatt Family, known for causing trouble, especially at upcoming WWE events. However, a shock from the Social Media Content Team came when The Boogeyman unexpectedly showed up, giving them quite a scare.
Despite not being a consistent member of the company since 2009 due to his Legends contract, the ex-wrestler famed for his peculiar WWE persona occasionally returns. With Halloween approaching, it appears The Boogeyman was called upon to frighten Jade Cargill and Bianca Belair during a mystery box challenge, and from the video below, it seems his efforts were quite effective.

It’s clear that, as wrestling enthusiasts, we often argue about what’s genuine and staged from the performers. However, I think it’s hard to ignore the palpable fear shown by the champions in the video. I was astonished that The Boogeyman managed to maintain his composure while Bianca Belair was digging in his nose, managing to convince us he wasn’t real until the unexpected revelation occurred.

It consistently amazes me when The Boogeyman reappears in WWE, given how little he seems to have changed from more than two decades ago. His use of face paint likely contributes to his timeless image, and I should note that we mainly see the wrestler’s head in videos. Regardless, he looks fantastic!
On some occasions, WWE shares its social media material during Monday Night Raw, and it’s possible this video will play in the upcoming episode to celebrate Halloween. If not there, it might be shown during NXT’s Halloween Havoc PLE, which can be streamed with a Peacock Premium Subscription. I’d love to see The Boogeyman participate in that event, but since he’s not associated with the developmental brand, it’s unlikely.
I’m expecting that the current women’s tag-team champions will showcase their skills at WrestleMania, possibly in a match against each other. Bianca Belair is making a significant mark in professional wrestling, while Jade Cargill has been impressing fans since joining the company following her departure from AEW. It seems plausible that they’d need to develop a rivalry for their storyline to make sense, and I’ll be keeping a close eye on their relationship in the coming months leading up to WrestleMania 41 for any signs of growing animosity between them.
Don’t miss out on watching Bianca Belair and Jade Cargill every Monday at 8:00 p.m. ET on USA Network during Monday Night Raw! With only a few months left before the show moves to Netflix in 2025, I can hardly wait to see what changes it will bring.
