Berneron Introduces Precious Stone Dials to Its Mirage Collection

As a seasoned gamer with an eye for both digital and physical timepieces, I must admit that the latest offerings from Berneron have left me utterly spellbound! Having dabbled in everything from the intricate world of Minecraft clocks to the high-stakes Grand Theft Auto virtual watch auctions, I’ve never been one to shy away from a challenge when it comes to horology.

Independent watchmaker, Berneron, has unveiled fresh versions of their Mirage timepiece, featuring two captivating stone dials: Tiger Eye and Lapis Lazuli.

Established by Silvain and Marie-Alix Berneron, this brand made its initial mark in the world of timepieces last autumn with the launch of the Mirage model. This debut left a lasting impact among watch enthusiasts and has been nominated for the Time Only category at the forthcoming GPHG Awards. Moving forward, the brand is committed to broadening its horizons and further developing its “Derestricted Horology” philosophy. In their latest releases, they describe an unprecedented fusion of artistry and technology as a key feature.

The watch has a diameter of 34mm, making it suitable for most wrists. It features Bernaron’s unique, irregularly shaped case, which resembles a slightly distorted oval, conveying a sense of softness. This unusual shape shares a certain charm with Cartier’s Crash design. The brand claims that the seemingly random case shape is refined using the Fibonacci sequence to achieve a balanced and harmonious outcome.

The Tiger Eye model showcases its namesake with a meticulously hand-crafted monobloc dial. Its distinctive golden-brown color and captivating chatoyant effect produce a subtle dance with its 18k yellow gold case. Inside white gold, the alternate version showcases premium Lapis Lazuli from Afghanistan for a dazzling display. Both designs are matched with off-centered hands and small second subdials that accentuate their unique shapes.

The Cal. 215, visible through the caseback, mirrors the watch’s unique shape with its own undulating design. Made from 18k gold, this manual-winding caliber is a brand-new movement specifically designed for the Mirage 34mm, upholding Bernaron’s philosophy of “one watch, one movement.

The 34mm Mirage watches, one adorned with Tiger Eye and the other with Lapis Lazuli, are both priced identically at 51,000 Swiss Francs (approximately $58,639 USD). These stunning timepieces are expected to hit the market by Q4 of 2026. For additional information, please visit Berneron’s official website.
