Where All Of Outer Banks' Pogues Were Left At The End Of Season 4, Volume 1

As a gamer who has weathered countless storms of narrative twists and turns, I can confidently say that the cliffhanger ending of Outer Banks Season 4, Volume 1 has left me on the edge of my seat with bated breath! The suspense has been relentless, keeping the series fresh in my mind for weeks since its premiere on the 2024 TV schedule. I find myself constantly replaying scenes and pondering possibilities about what lies ahead for our intrepid treasure hunters when Volume 2 drops on November 7.

Warning! SPOILERS ahead for Outer Banks Season 4, Volume 1.

Even though I dislike it when Netflix divides seasons into two halves, I must admit that the anticipation for Volume 2 of Outer Banks has kept the series vividly present in my thoughts for weeks since its release on the 2024 TV schedule. It seems like each day brings new curiosity about what lies ahead in the final five episodes. Given where our treasure hunters were left at the mid-season finale, I can hardly wait to discover the fate of the Pogues when the series resumes on November 7.

A significant part of my anticipation stems from the curiosity whether The Pogues will manage to locate the “Blue Crown” and finally exit the treasure-hunting business for good, which is the main storyline this season. Yet, I find myself constantly pondering over the characters and their precarious situations, given that they’re in the most vulnerable state they’ve ever been in – a state that’s particularly concerning when you consider John B.’s numerous brushes with death throughout the first three seasons.

After watching the first five episodes, it seemed as though the team had become more dispersed than they’ve ever been before, which could suggest tough times ahead when Volume 2 premieres. Since binge-watching can sometimes cause us to forget minor details, you might not recall exactly where each character on Outer Banks was at the end of Episode 5. But don’t fret! We’re here to refresh your memory!

Pope And Sarah Are Stuck In The Crypt In Charleston

Beyond any doubt, Pope and Sarah find themselves in a perilous predicament following Volume 1. In case you’ve forgotten, upon their arrival in Charleston, the group discovered the church and cemetery that Pope suspects holds the key to locating the “Blue Crown.” Delving into this place together for the first time, Pope joins forces with Sarah to explore the crypt in search of hidden treasure.

Following an unintentional lockout after gaining entry, Pope and Sarah attempt a hasty exit via the route previously taken by Lightner and Dalia to reach the map prematurely. Regrettably, they inadvertently sealed the tomb behind them, trapping Pope and Sarah inside. To compound their troubles, torrential rain outside began seeping into the crypt, filling it with water.

Despite the challenging predicament they find themselves in, Sarah and Pope possess a knack for navigating through dangerous situations – a skill honed over time. Just as the Pogues’ tales have shown me, it’s unwise to doubt their resilience and determination to persevere. I’m confident that they will escape from the crypt no later than Episode 6.

JJ And Kiara Are Still In Kildare

As much as I love JJ, he’s been making awful decisions this season.

Following a mysterious communication, he chooses to unravel its secret by skipping the Pogues gathering and remaining in Kildare instead. This action unexpectedly brings him face-to-face with his long-lost father, Luke, who was believed to be overseas. However, the surprising events don’t stop there.

As we’re evading the law, Luke confides in me a shocking truth – I’m not biologically related to him, but to Groff and Larissa Genrette instead! This revelation means I’m not a Pogue, but the true heir to the Genrette fortune and Goat Island.

Since JJ’s location remains a mystery to the Pogues, Kiara opts to hold her ground in Kildare, waiting to locate JJ first. In the interim, she chooses to keep Kildare County Surf Shop operational due to their tight financial situation. This move proves shrewd until Rafe arrives, searching for Sarah. Despite encountering the troublesome character known as the Kook, Kiara is in the strongest position going into the final five episodes.

However, I’m now wondering how she’ll react to this revelation JJ just had.

John B. And Cleo Are Above Ground In Charleston

For the first time ever, John B. experiences a sense of unease regarding his treasure hunting adventures. At the conclusion of Volume 1, he’s stepped back from confronting Lightner, not out of bravery, but due to his fear of emulating his father, Big John. Despite being on dry land in Charleston, John B.’s thoughts are deeply submerged as he grapples with the emotional turmoil stemming from his complicated bond with his deceased dad.

Cleo, like others, has risen above ground in Charleston, still grappling with the emotional turmoil from the heart-wrenching demise of her father figure, Terrance. While John B harbors reservations about ending lives, Cleo stands firm on her resolve to avenge Terrance’s suffering at Lightner’s hands. Even after a harrowing experience where Lightner nearly strangled her, Cleo remains steadfast in her pursuit of retribution.

The Pogues appear to be facing a challenging time, both physically and emotionally. Yet, it seems this is a situation they thrive in. They’ve reached their lowest point, which can only mean they can only go up from here. I can’t wait for you to see Outer Banks Season 4, Volume 2, as it promises to be exciting! Just ensure your Netflix subscriptions are active because we’ll be revisiting the OBX on November 7 to learn more about the Pogues’ future.
