Girard-Perregaux has unveiled a contemporary version of their renowned Casquette 2.0 watch, a classic design that debuted in 1976. Appreciated for its forward-thinking design influenced by the sci-fi culture of the ’70s, the Casquette series has consistently piqued the interest of collectors. The newly introduced model, constructed with Grade 5 titanium and featuring an 18K 2N yellow gold GP logo along with matching pushers, pays tribute to the original’s daring style while incorporating contemporary enhancements.
Introduced back in 2022 with a black ceramic and titanium design, the Casquette 2.0 made its comeback after much demand from Girard-Perregaux fans. This latest titanium-and-gold version is limited to only 820 pieces, making it an exclusive item for those fortunate enough to own one. Its unique LED tubular display highlights hours, minutes, seconds, day and date, along with additional features like month, year, chronograph, second time zone, a secret date display, and more – all driven by the GP03980 movement. Extra details include rubber lining on the strap and a micro-adjustable clasp for enhanced comfort.
Specifically, Girard-Perregaux is giving preference to its community for this new launch, from October 31 to November 14. “Fans” will be granted early access to place orders before the timepiece goes on sale to the public at large on the brand’s official website and select stores, priced at $4,960 USD.
