As a lifestyle expert with a keen eye for success stories, I find Vicky Kaushal’s journey to be nothing short of inspiring. His determination and hard work, evident from his early days as an assistant director, have propelled him to become one of Bollywood’s most sought-after actors.
Vicky Kaushal has embarked on a remarkable rise to stardom. Starting out as an assistant director on the Gangs of Wasseypur film, he is now one of Bollywood’s most prominent actors. Not long ago, his father, Sham Kaushal, disclosed in an interview that Vicky had interned under filmmaker Anurag Kashyap to work on the movie Gangs of Wasseypur.
In a chat with Friday Talkies, renowned stunt coordinator Sham Kaushal shared stories about his son’s rise to fame within the entertainment industry.
He noted that if he ever contacted or assisted the actor from Bad Newz for his acting career, he did so only when Anurag Kashyap requested him to allow Vicky Kaushal to serve as an apprentice under him.
He said, “I had called Anurag asking him to give Vicky an apprenticeship. So he (Vicky) took a train to join Anurag. It’s there where he learned that nothing comes easy.”
Sham Kaushal shared that his son put in a lot of effort under Anurag Kashyap and eventually joined the secondary film crew. He disclosed that the actor was assigned to capture genuine moments on camera for a more realistic movie feel, which frequently resulted in them being apprehended by the police.
Although it may have been challenging at times, the actor portraying Sardar Udham found enjoyment and gained valuable insights from the experience. The stunt coordinator remarked, “But isn’t that fun? That’s how one learns! It’s his unique journey, and he’ll continue learning this way.
Regarding his professional life, Vicky Kaushal recently appeared in Bad Newz alongside Triptii Dimri and Ammy Virk. Upcoming projects include the highly anticipated historical drama Chhaava with Rashmika Mandanna, as well as Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Love And War.
