As a seasoned gamer and concert enthusiast who has witnessed more than his fair share of unpredictable moments, I must say that the incident at Sabrina Carpenter‘s ‘Short n’ Sweet’ Tour was a new low – or high, depending on how you look at it. It seems like someone decided to create their very own impromptu water feature in the middle of the crowd, leaving fellow fans soaked and bewildered.
At concerts, they can be lively and entertaining experiences, but history has shown us that things can sometimes escalate into chaos. Although I didn’t expect to witness someone urinating on and around fellow concertgoers at Sabrina Carpenter’s ‘Short n’ Sweet’ Tour when filling out my bingo card, I must admit it wasn’t an entirely new or surprising sight.
The moment wasn’t caught on camera, but the aftermath certainly was. A fan was at the show and recording Carpenter when there was a bit of brouhaha in the pit. Fans who were nearby have said someone literally peed right in the middle of the crowd, though it’s unclear if the move was an accidental miscalculation or something more nefarious. Carpenter was playing the Chase Center in San Francisco when the incident happened and there’s video evidence of the aftermath.

It brings to mind an unusual story involving Brass Against that went viral a few years back, where their lead singer urinated on a volunteer fan. However, unlike the unfortunate incident at the Carpenter concert, this fan willingly participated in the act.
According to reports, fans were seen snapping photos following an incident where some had signs saying, “I got splashed in the crowd to watch Sabrina.” It wasn’t just a few fans; it appears that many were involved in the incident that allegedly happened. The event quickly gained traction on social media platforms like TikTok, spreading through numerous videos.
In a somewhat comparable fashion, I attended Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers’ concert in Noblesville, IN back in 2010. The queues for the ladies’ restrooms were exceptionally lengthy that day, and although I didn’t observe anyone openly urinating in the crowd, I did notice several women leaving the performance area, eyeing the daunting line for the bathrooms, and eventually deciding they couldn’t wait any longer. A number of them chose to relieve themselves on the ground outside the bathrooms, where they were visible to hundreds, if not thousands, of spectators.
At the time, I was standing in a queue for snacks not far away. Nothing quite like what I witnessed then has ever happened before or since. In that instance, those women seemingly left the scene and continued to enjoy the remainder of the performance, likely with significantly emptier bladders.
In earlier times of Taylor Swift’s Eras Tour, women didn’t dominate the men’s restrooms like you might think due to the limited facilities available. It’s important to note that some fans who preferred not to miss any part of the concert chose to wear adult diapers instead, which could have been an option for this Carpenter fan. (Though I must admit, that fact about the Eras tour and BTS was interesting, but perhaps unnecessary knowledge.)
In this instance, no one directly witnessed the woman urinating on camera, yet the circumstances surrounding the event remain ambiguous. However, all I can remark upon is this intriguing thought: If only Sabrina Carpenter’s heart-shaped toilet were handy in such situations!
