Aamir Khan claims Kiran Rao never asked him how to be a better wife: ‘Aap kabhi pucho to main batata hu list’

As a lifestyle expert with a keen eye for observing relationships and their dynamics, I find the unique bond between Aamir Khan and Kiran Rao truly inspiring. Their ability to maintain a friendship after divorce while continuing to collaborate professionally is commendable.

For close to sixteen years, Aamir Khan and Kiran Rao were married before they parted ways in 2021. Although their marriage is over, they have managed to maintain a friendship and have collaborated on various film projects together. In a recent conversation, the ‘Mr Perfectionist’ shared that despite his wife providing him with eleven tips for improving as a husband, she never offered guidance on becoming a better spouse herself.

Aamir Khan and Kiran Rao had an engaging chat with The Hollywood Reporter India, discussing their successful collaboration in filmmaking. During this discussion, the host brought up a past conversation where Aamir mentioned that his ex-wife Kiran had given him suggestions on areas to improve if he aimed to be a more considerate partner.

In simpler terms, the PK actor expressed that one of the 11 points was about not letting others speak, which he also suggested wives should practice. Translated from Hindi, he said, “Nobody ever asked me ‘How to be a better wife?’ If they ask, I will tell them what to do.

Khan disclosed that while he may not have shared her views, he jotted them down and continues to ponder over them. During this conversation, the actor also discussed his forthcoming movie, “Sitaare Zameen Par,” which stars Darsheel Safary and Genelia Deshmukh.

Discussing further details about the sports drama, the actor-producer expressed that unlike its predecessor Taare Zameen Par, this story is more light-hearted and humorous rather than deeply emotional. Although both films have similar themes, this movie’s emotional tone leans towards humor as opposed to intense emotions.

Speaking further on the topic of the movie, he expressed that, in numerous aspects, the production surpasses Taare Zameen Par. This is due to the fact that the character in the movie struggling with a challenge, represented by Ishaan, received assistance from my character.

Under the direction of R.S. Prasanna and co-produced by Aamir Khan and Kiran Rao, the film titled “Sitaare Zameen Par” is planned to hit theaters on December 25, 2024.
