As a seasoned gamer with countless hours spent in the battlefields of PUBG Mobile, I can’t help but feel the adrenaline pumping through my veins as we approach the climax of the PMGC 2024 League Stage. The intensity and competitiveness displayed by these teams have been nothing short of breathtaking.
We’re finally through the second week of the 2024 PUBG Mobile Global Championship (PMGC) League Stage, which brought fierce action and intense fights. Sixteen teams in Group Red battled through 24 matches for a coveted spot in the Grand Finals.
Following an intense, four-day battle, NAVI came out on top alongside Tong Jia Bao Esports and Nigma Galaxy. Now that these three squads have advanced, the other competitors are left wondering about the challenges they’ll face in the Survival Stage.
Day one opened with a win for AS i8, claiming the first Chicken Dinner on Sanhok. Close behind, Tianba and IW NRX scored 15 and 14 points, with Nigma Galaxy following closely as they quickly began to climb the leaderboard. The reigning champions, IHC Esports, had a disappointing run, ending up on 14th position while Nigma Galaxy led the day with 56 points.
On day two, IW NRX showcased their resilience, leaping from fourth to first thanks to three solid second-place finishes. Team Falcons also secured their first win of the tournament, racking up 11 eliminations to make a mark on the leaderboard. The leaderboard continued to shift on day three, as Tong Jia Bao Esports climbed from seventh place to first, doubling their points tally from 74 to 142.
On the last day of Group Red’s competitions, NAVI took the top spot by claiming their fourth victory, which earned them the title of leaders. Tong Jia Bao Esports ended the tournament just behind with 177 points, while Nigma Galaxy trailed in third place, having amassed 172 points.
IW NRX ended the week in the Survival Stage with a striking 115 kills, even with only one match win under their belt. At the lower end, IHC ESPORTS faced elimination, finishing 12th and relinquishing any shot at reclaiming the 2024 PMGC title.
From November 14th to 17th this week, Group Green’s competitors including Stalwart Esports and Team Liquid will face off against each other for a spot in the finale. Subsequently, there will be a Survival Stage and Last Chance round, culminating in the Grand Finals scheduled for December.
