As a seasoned gamer with a penchant for action-packed adventures and a soft spot for surf culture, I can hardly contain my excitement about the upcoming film “Headhunters.” Having grown up surfing the waves of Hawaii like our own Evan Mock, the prospect of witnessing his on-screen journey to an uncharted island in pursuit of the perfect wave is nothing short of exhilarating.
Evan Mock and Chloe East have been swept up by Headhunters.
Actors known for their roles in “Gossip Girl” and “Heretic”, as well as a popular model, are set to team up with Kevin Costner and Daniel Zovatto on an upcoming film scheduled to begin shooting in January. The movie will mark the feature directorial debut of accomplished cinematographer Steven Holleran. He initially conceived the idea for the film, which he later co-wrote with Costner. The script is a unique blend, combining the thrilling pace of surf culture with the tension of horror, creating an intriguing amalgamation.
As a gamer, I’d put it like this:
As a devoted fan, I’m thrilled to share that not only is Costner starring in the upcoming project, but he’s also producing it through his own Territory Pictures, joined by Scott Steindorff and Stone Village Films. Alongside Costner and Steindorff, the production team includes Howard Kaplan, a partner at Territory Pictures, as well as Dylan Russell, Lindsay Davis, and Stacey Woods from Stone Village. Jenna Ajlouny is credited as co-producer. Eric Hays serves as physical producer, with Ericson Core handling cinematography, Derek Hill taking care of production design, and Lisa Lovaas responsible for costume design.
Model, famously recognized as the “it boy” of fashion on Max, who gained prominence as a character in the revamped Gossip Girl series, is represented by Paradigm, Canopy Media Partners, Initiative Group, Jackoway Austen Tyerman Wertheimer Mandelbaum Morris Bernstein Trattner Auerbach Hynick Jaime LeVine Sample & Klein (Jeff Hynick). The upcoming film Headhunters will see him return to his roots, as he hails from Hawaii and is well-respected in the surf and skate community. Previous acting roles include Fantasmas.
East is coming off a critically acclaimed turn opposite Hugh Grant and Sophie Thatcher in Heretic, which opened this weekend. Her other credits include Steven Spielberg’s The Fabelmans, Generation, Kevin (Probably) Saves the World, Liv and Maddie, Ice and True Blood. She’s repped by WME, Link Entertainment, Vault Entertainment and Felker Toczek Suddleson McGinnis Ryan.
