Finally, the wait is over – TMS Entertainment has unveiled the official trailer for the long-awaited anime adaptation of Yuto Suzuki’s smash-hit shonen manga, Sakamoto Days. Not only do we now have a release date, but get this: they’re planning a second season, set to drop in July 2025! Can’t wait for this rollercoaster ride!

The “Sakamoto Days” manga first started being published in Weekly Shonen Jump magazine back in November 2020. By the year 2022, a staggering 2.2 million copies were already distributed, propelling it up the charts on the publication’s popularity polls and frequently placing it alongside popular titles such as “One Piece”, “Jujutsu Kaisen”, and “My Hero Academia”.

The promotional video provides a sneak peek into the unusual and energetic storyline of Sakamoto Days, focusing on the daily life of Taro Sakamoto, a former assassin who now manages a convenience store with his family. Additionally, the trailer showcased “Hashire SAKAMOTO,” the anime’s theme song, created and sung by renowned artist Vaundy.
