After FBI: Most Wanted's Barnes Got A Scary Warning From Remy, I'm So Intrigued By Roxy Sternberg's Thoughts On What She'd 'Consider' Doing Next

As a seasoned gamer who has seen more episodes of FBI: Most Wanted than I care to count, I must say that the latest episode left me reeling – and not just because Remy was being such a grump with Barnes. The tension between them has always been palpable, but this time it felt like a chasm wider than the Grand Canyon.

As someone who’s been hooked on FBI: Most Wanted since its debut, I must say that the latest episode of Season 6, titled “Pig Butchering,” has left me utterly intrigued. With a Paramount+ subscription at my fingertips, I eagerly tuned in and was not disappointed. The suspenseful plot and gripping action kept me on the edge of my seat throughout the entire episode. If you’re a fan of intense crime dramas like I am, this one is definitely worth checking out!

In the fall 2024 TV lineup, Barnes reappeared on FBI: Most Wanted. She listened to her instincts regarding a troubling call from a teenage girl, which eventually led her and the team to apprehend dangerous individuals. Lives were protected, and criminals were brought to justice, but Remy remained angry with Barnes for disobeying orders to investigate the call on her own. He even warned her that he might remove her from the Task Force if she acted independently again. Actress Roxy Sternberg shared insights about the conflict with TopMob, and I’m eagerly anticipating what her character will “contemplate.

As “Pig Butchering” neared its conclusion, Barnes pursued Remy to offer an apology for acting independently and clarify that she was guided by instinct. However, the SSA was unyielding, and his anger wasn’t appeased by her recollection of when the team assisted him in tracking down his brother’s murderer. He countered, asserting his authority as boss, stating he chooses which cases the Task Force investigates, and then added:

“I see what’s happening, Barnes, but when personal matters affect your professional decision-making, it creates issues for me… I value our relationship, and I appreciate you. However, this isn’t the first time we’ve had disagreements, so I feel it’s important to be straightforward with you. If this behavior persists, there may be consequences, such as being removed from the team.

ouch! Remy wasn’t required to heap praise on Barnes for listening to her instincts and saving lives, but he was quite harsh towards her. While it’s true that she struggled with returning home to an empty apartment with her children far away in a new life, Barnes’ blunt advice made me relieved that she confided in Hana instead of keeping her troubles within.

Fortunately, I managed to get in contact with actress Roxy Sternberg via email, who graciously provided insights on how Remy’s threat to exclude her from the team might impact Barnes in the future.

I mean it’s real. It’s scary. It’s a warning which I don’t take lightly. It also comes as a surprise. I thought I would get some kind’ve ‘Well done.’ I think it will affect the way she works in the future.

The clash between Barnes and Remy holds a profound impact following the strengthening of their friendship in FBI: Most Wanted‘s previous season. Notably, their relationship began on shaky grounds, as the boss noted. Remy had been part of the team for multiple episodes before her return, and she was undeniably the most affected by Jess’s death, given the unique circumstances surrounding it among the agents.

In the time when Jess led the Fugitive Task Force, it always seemed like Barnes was his right-hand man. But under Remy’s leadership, this wasn’t always apparent. So, I found myself wondering if Barnes might consider stepping up and taking on a Supervisory Special Agent role. Roxy Sternberg, in her characteristic style, provided a captivating response to that thought:

I think it’s definitely something she’d consider…

Of course, just because Barnes might not pursue a promotion by the midseason finale or undergo changes in the Fugitive Task Force roster, as showrunner David Hudgins stated that no one is leaving for the entire season, it doesn’t exclude the possibility of Barnes considering adjustments in her professional path amidst her personal life upheavals. It would certainly be intriguing to witness such development.

Regardless of what one might think, let’s all concur that it’s consistently enjoyable to watch Barnes and Hana (the remaining original cast members) relying on each other on FBI: Most Wanted. In the recent episode, Sternberg revealed why Hana was her go-to person for support: she needed a confidant when times got tough.

For quite some time, they’ve been a team. Given their close friendship, it’s only natural that she’s the one Barnes tends towards during these years!

Regardless of what happens to Barnes, it’s clear that the Fugitive Task Force’s mission will carry on. From the preview for the upcoming episode, it seems the agents are hot on the trail of the crooks responsible for a series of heists. Given that this is FBI: Most Wanted, I wouldn’t be shocked if there were some casualties in their pursuit! Here’s a peek:
