WWE’s Best Feud Of 2024 Has Nothing To Do With Cody Rhodes And Roman Reigns

WWE's Best Feud Of 2024 Has Nothing To Do With Cody Rhodes And Roman Reigns

As a die-hard WWE fan with over 20 years of watching wrestling under my belt, I can confidently say that the feud between Bronson Reed and Seth Rollins in 2024 has been nothing short of phenomenal. Unlike some of the past blood feuds we’ve seen, this one isn’t driven by a lost title or a weird bracelet angle. Instead, it’s about a man proving he deserves an opportunity to shine, and that power in the story makes it stand out from the rest.

2024 has been a stellar year for the WWE, particularly for those receiving screen time on the main roster. The Rock’s involvement and captivating storylines have fueled an unprecedented growth in business, and fans are eagerly anticipating several upcoming WWE events. Cody Rhodes is diligently defending his WWE Championship, while Roman Reigns persists in his ongoing conflict with The Bloodline. However, among all the exciting developments of 2024, my personal favorite feud isn’t connected to either Cody or Roman. Instead, there’s one rivalry that outshines everything else we’ve witnessed so far, and it doesn’t involve these two individuals.

As much as I’ve relished the lengthy rivalry between CM Punk and Drew McIntyre over a friendship bracelet, it pales in comparison to what I’m currently savoring. The intense battles between Bronson Reed and Seth Rollins have been nothing short of spectacular, and as the year comes to an end, it’s clear that their feud is the standout contender for the best of 2022.

2024 Has Been The Year Of Big Bronson Reed

Initially, Bronson Reed had to forego a chance to perform in Australia at the beginning of the year, but it turned out to be a fortunate turn of events since he was present for his wife’s delivery. It appears that although the WWE didn’t initially have Reed on their shortlist for 2021, a significant part of 2024 has been dedicated to enhancing his reputation within the WWE as a formidable adversary and potential headliner.

Although Bronson Reed often unleashes several Tsunamis in quick succession against various opponents, it’s essential to remember that his destructive rule began with a shocking ambush on Seth Rollins. The chaos that ensued was indescribable, but fortunately, we have the video to relive the excitement:

After that, Bronson Reed vented his anger on The Miz, followed by R-Truth, and eventually found a tougher adversary in Braun Strowman. Strowman endured for as long as possible, and technically won their Last Man Standing match, but it was Reed who came out of the rivalry appearing more powerful. It seemed like nothing could halt Reed, until Seth Rollins made his return and dished out the first significant defeat to the superstar in a while.

TopMob foresaw Reed losing to Rollins at Crown Jewel 2024, but none of us were thrilled about this outcome. In fact, we recalled how Rollins’ reign as Heavyweight Champion in 2023 seemed to snuff out Shinsuke Nakamura’s resurgence, and it appeared that another rising star was being set up for a fall against one of WWE’s dependable main eventers.

Initially, I assumed Bronson Reed was just a sort of warm-up act for Seth Rollins to battle Gunther for the Heavyweight Championship at WrestleMania, given his impressive build. However, after witnessing their brutal match at Crown Jewel, I’m starting to question if that’s the case. The way Reed bounced back so quickly after such a heavy beatdown has me second-guessing who might emerge victorious in this feud. To be honest, I’m not entirely sure how it all ends, but man, it’s really grabbing my attention!

Reed And Seth Have Made For Some Of The WWE’s Best Matches Without A Title On The Line

Previously, I made a lighthearted comment about Drew McIntyre and CM Punk’s rivalry, which was perhaps a bit unjust. Despite the peculiar bracelet aspect, this has been one of the most compelling blood feuds in WWE for quite a while. However, it stands apart from Bronson Reed and Seth Rollins’ conflict in a crucial point.

The importance of McIntyre and Punk’s rivalry increased significantly due to the former losing his Heavyweight Championship at Punk’s hands. While both these superstars are capable of sustaining a feud without a title involvement, it’s undeniable that Punk costing McIntyre the title served as the spark for all subsequent events between them.

Bronson Reed’s objective isn’t fueled by a title he didn’t win or one he feels was unfairly taken from him. Instead, this WWE narrative revolves around demonstrating his worthiness for opportunities. Could defeating Seth Rollins in their feud signify he’s ready for the next level of main event title matches? I believe so, and the strength of that story is evident when victory itself, rather than a title, becomes the goal.

2025 Should Be The Year Bronson Reed Has A Big Title Run

I hope that regardless of the outcome of his conflict with Seth Rollins, Bronson Reed’s journey in 2025 will culminate in his first major title victory. If this feud concludes and Rollins advances while Reed fades into obscurity, it would seem like a wasted opportunity for both Reed and WWE viewers.

Let’s Discuss Your Thoughts on the WrestleMania 41 Forecast Featuring The Rock, Roman Reigs, and Cody Rhodes

It’s clear that the WWE’s main event scene is overflowing with talent, to the point where even well-known pro wrestling legends find it hard to secure airtime. However, this abundance of skilled performers makes it exciting because at any moment, someone unexpected could capture the title and leave fans astounded (without the Shockmaster’s unfortunate fate). Despite Cody Rhodes and Roman Reigns currently dominating the scene, there is still plenty of opportunity for others who are just shy of reaching the peak.

I also can say that in an era where just about everyone in the main roster is cut and looking like a marble statue, it’s nice to see a big dude throwing his weight around and kicking some ass. It’s been a while since there’s been a big guy at the top of the WWE roster, and we’re past due for seeing another one make a name for themself. Could Bronson Reed be what Yokozuna was to a generation of fans? I say we give him all the opportunities to prove he can rise to the challenge, and so far, he’s passing all the tests he needs to.

Take a look at some top matches featuring Bronson Reed on Peacock Premium. As we wait to see what lies ahead for him in his ongoing feud with Seth Rollins, I have to say that this is currently one of the most exciting developments in professional wrestling!
