As a long-time admirer and follower of Bollywood, I am absolutely thrilled to witness the debut of Aryan Khan as a director! Growing up with glimpses of his life through the media, it’s fascinating to see him step into the world of storytelling.

Following several rumors, Netflix has confirmed that Aryan Khan, son of Bollywood megastar Shah Rukh Khan, will make his directorial debut in an upcoming series. The platform shared the news on its Instagram account, prompting reactions from stars like Alia Bhatt, Shanaya Kapoor, Karan Johar, and Ananya Panday, who expressed their enthusiasm and congratulations for the young talent.

For about three decades, Shah Rukh Khan and his family have formed strong relationships within the movie industry. Although Aryan generally avoids the limelight, he remains well-acquainted with them. Notably, they have shared supportive messages meant for him.

Alia Bhatt, known for working alongside SRK and partnering with his production company, enthusiastically reshared a post from Netflix on her Instagram account, expressing eagerness by saying, “I can’t wait!

Ananya Panday, who has been friends with Suhana Khan (Aryan’s sister) since childhood, openly expressed her anticipation for Aryan’s upcoming series by saying, “It seems like you’re not prepared at all! I can’t wait for you, Aryan.” She also reposted the announcement.

Another well-known star child, a good friend of Suhana and Aryan, was present at the festivities too, as she expressed her heartfelt congratulations with the words, “You shine! So proud. I can’t wait for this.” Kapoor is also set to appear alongside Vikrant Massey in her first film.

Simultaneously, Karan Johar, a longtime friend of the Khan family and someone who has known Aryan since he was born, expressed his joy as the eldest son of Shah Rukh Khan, who is preparing to make his debut in Bollywood. He posted on Instagram, “I love you, Aryan!!!! I am incredibly proud of you and can’t wait for the world to see your amazing series. It’s going to be a hit!” He also tagged his own Instagram account.

It’s worth noting that this actor made their screen debut at 27, portraying a younger version of King Khan in the movie “Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham” directed by Karan, back in 2001.

Despite the assumption that Aryan, much like his father, would pursue a career in acting, it was evident that he harbored a passion for writing and directing instead. Shah Rukh Khan shared that Aryan’s upcoming series would trace the story of an ambitious outsider navigating through the glitzy yet treacherous landscape of the film industry, showcasing his struggles and eventual triumph in carving out a niche for himself.

Details regarding the project remain confidential for now, but it’s set to debut in 2025 and promises an engaging mix of drama, comedy, and notable guest appearances. Notably, his mother, Gauri Khan, will oversee production under the Red Chillies Entertainment label.
