As a seasoned gamer and music enthusiast who has attended countless festivals and events over the years, I must say that my recent experience at W Amsterdam during ADE was nothing short of extraordinary! The energy, the vibes, the music – it all came together to create an unforgettable atmosphere that truly encapsulated the spirit of electronic music.
This month, I was thrilled to be among the first to step into the vibrant world of W Amsterdam, as they unveiled a five-day musical extravaganza in celebration of their partnership with ADE – the globally acclaimed electronic music event in Amsterdam.
In line with the hotel’s continuous endeavor to provide a stimulating environment for artists and music enthusiasts by offering a range of cultural events, this collaboration is an extension of W PRESENTS – W Hotels global live music series. This series showcases a vibrant assortment of emerging and established artists who align with the hotel’s unique musical persona. This year, the series made stops in Algarve, Edinburgh, Budapest, and London. During Amsterdam Dance Event (ADE), a variety of sound experiences were created, including panel discussions, exhibits, artist engagements, and DJ sets. These events gathered industry experts and the music community together.
Last year’s collaboration with Paris-based music company Cercle was headlined by House of 10 in Amsterdam – a concept created by Belvedere Vodka, which has previously hosted events in Bodrum, Mykonos, and Ibiza. This event aims to enhance the Amsterdam Dance Event (ADE) in 2024 by providing exclusive luxury experiences.
At W Amsterdam, a series of live concerts were held in shared areas, while the popular WOW Suites were transformed into temporary venues in collaboration with Insomniac Records. This partnership brought well-known DJs such as Philou Louzolo, Mau P, Amal Nemer and HUGEL to the main stage.
Previously collaborating on a live music series with FEMME House in North America this year, W Hotels expanded their partnership overseas by hosting the European debut of the event at W Amsterdam. A talk panel titled “Her Dancefloor” was held alongside this, featuring influential figures from the music industry. Co-hosted by longtime collaborator and W Hotels’ music curator LP Giobbi, as well as Emily Bass of FEMME House, the panel offered insights from Andy George of Lost Village festival, DJ Honeyluv, Mayola Charles from META, and music editor Megan Venzin. The event also provided opportunities for artist mentorships and showcases through various sessions throughout the day.
At W Hotels, they took things up a notch to feature the premiere of Indira Paganotto’s independent label ARTCORE merchandise collection, which made its debut at X BANK concept store. This special event included a series of live sets and offered guests a unique chance to browse through items from the winter collection. As the night unfolded, an impressive lineup of artists such as Chloe Caillet, Elkka, Busy P, LP Giobbi, jan Blomqvist, and several others, took over the W Lounge, offering stunning city views while setting the mood with their tunes.
