‘RHOBH’ Star Dorit Kemsley on Separation From Paul “PK” Kemsley: Divorce Not “Even a Topic of Conversation”

As a seasoned gamer with a keen eye for reality TV drama, I must say that Dorit Kemsley‘s story of navigating her personal life while being under the spotlight is quite intriguing. Her ability to maintain a semblance of normalcy for her kids amidst such turbulence is nothing short of commendable. It’s like playing a high-stakes game of chess, where every move counts and emotions run deep.

Dorit Kemsley, a cast member on The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, is shedding light on the reasons behind her split from her husband Paul “PK” Kemsley, who they’ve been married to for nine years.

After chatting with Andy Cohen on “Watch What Happens Live” following the season 14 premiere on Tuesday, I shared an update on my personal life. As many fans may recall, PK and I announced our separation in May. On this week’s premiere, I talked to some of the cast about our situation before it made headlines. Despite the challenges we’ve faced, PK and I are doing well and moving forward.

She expressed that everything is going well, adding that their relationship is amicable and communication is ongoing, maintaining the current state of affairs. During the Bravo late night show, she was inquired about divorce rumors. However, she clarified that they are not divorced, and it’s a topic that hasn’t been discussed between them.

Six months following the announcement, Dorit shared that her children, unaware of their parents’ separation, believe their father is residing in town for work purposes, as he stays in an apartment there. Dorit and PK chose not to disclose their separation to their kids, aged 8 and 10, during the premiere of RHOBH.

She mentioned to Cohen that as long as PK and her relationship remains amicable and stable, everything is fine. When PK and she decided to part ways, they didn’t have a clear plan, so they chose to work out the details first, ensuring they had answers ready for any questions people might ask. Regarding their kids, she will be open and honest with them. If her children inquire about the situation, she will respond honestly. Over time, you learn what they want to know, what they don’t, and what makes them comfortable.

Before publicly announcing their separation, Dorit had expressed during the RHOBH reunion that they were stronger than ever. However, as she revealed in the show’s premiere, things took a turn for the worse, leading to their eventual split. On the series, Dorit accused PK of alcoholism and pointed to disagreements and distance following her home incident as contributing factors. Interestingly, during the premiere, both Dorit and PK mentioned that PK was now sober.

A week past, there was an instance, no significant issue at stake, and things gradually unfolded until we found ourselves in a calm, composed state, much like two adults deeply bonded by love and concern. We mutually agreed to give each other some distance,” Dorit explained to Erika Jayne during the premiere of the pivotal event.

In another part of the interview on Watch What Happens Live, the television figure expressed her shock upon receiving a text from her Real Housewives of Beverly Hills co-star, Kyle Richards, who reached out to PK before them after their separation announcement, made public in a joint statement back in May.

As a devoted duo, my partner and I have faced a wave of speculation concerning our marital journey. We’ve had our fair share of challenges over the past few years, but we remain committed individuals who cherish each other deeply and are blessed with two incredible children. Through thick and thin, we strive to navigate our issues as a loving couple. (Instagram Stories post)

They went on to say, “In order to protect our strong bond and ensure a peaceful setting for our kids, we’ve mutually decided to temporarily step back from each other and reassess our relationship, focusing primarily on our children’s wellbeing. We’re grateful for your affectionate sentiments as we navigate this process.
