Adele Doesn’t “Have Any F***ing Plans” Upon Vegas Residency Finish, But Says She’ll Be Back Eventually

As a seasoned gamer who has spent countless hours immersed in the world of music and entertainment, I can’t help but feel a pang of empathy for Adele as she embarks on this new chapter of her life. Like many gamers, we too have our favorite characters, and watching them navigate through their unique journeys is both captivating and relatable.

It’s uncertain what Adele plans to do next, following the completion of her two-year Vegas residency; it might even be a mystery to Adele herself.

As I stepped off the stage at the Colosseum Theatre in Caesars Palace on Saturday night, I couldn’t help but feel a pang of emotion as I told my audience, “I’ll miss you terribly,” and “I’m not sure when I’ll be back up here to perform again.” It was a bittersweet moment, knowing that our time together had come to an end, at least for now.

She mentioned that she has no other engagements, as evidenced by a fan video from the occasion. In truth, she’s quite nervous about her upcoming actions. She doesn’t have any specific arrangements made.

Adele’s “Weekends With Adele” performances took place from November 2022 to November 2024, with two shows each week. During the summer, she informed her fans that she would pause creating new music once the residency ended. On Saturday, she expressed that she would return, stating “of course I’ll be back; after all, my only talent lies in singing. I just don’t know yet when I feel ready to step onto the stage again.

Furthermore, during her farewell address, Adele expressed gratitude towards her 14-year-old son, Angelo, and her partner, sports agent Rich Paul.

To my dear son, I decided to take up a residency rather than continue touring, as the constant travel wasn’t something I enjoyed deeply. However, this choice was made so that our family life could remain stable and normal. Though there were moments I wouldn’t swap for anything, I am now fortunate enough to spend weekends with you because, of course, you can’t always accompany me. I adore you immensely, and thank you for your understanding and patience during this time.

To Paul, she said, “I want to thank you for constantly encouraging me and making me believe I can accomplish anything I set my mind to. Even during those moments when I’m exhausted or overwhelmed, your support means a lot to me.

Later on stage, she paused to express that the residency’s conclusion brought her a sense of “finality” when Celine Dion watched the show in October. “I cried for an entire week,” she shared, “an entire week.” She added, “It was a profoundly symbolic moment for me because that’s the sole reason I ever aspired to be on this stage.” (Both artists were moved to tears during the event.)
