Judas and the Black Messiah
Stream on December 1
The movie titled “Judas and the Black Messiah” tells the true story of Fred Hampton (played by Daniel Kaluuya), who served as the head of the Illinois chapter of the Black Panther Party in Chicago during the late 1960s. The film focuses on the actions of William O’Neal (portrayed by LaKeith Stanfield), who provided information to the FBI against Hampton, due to a deal he made with them. Unfortunately, Hampton, an inspiring young activist, was fatally shot in his own home during an early morning police raid.
In a powerful indictment of racial injustice, the film “Judas and the Black Messiah” delivers an emotionally charged story about a man whose influence was yet to fully blossom before he was tragically taken away. This movie garnered six nominations at the 2021 Academy Awards, including Best Picture, Best Supporting Actor, Best Original Screenplay, Best Cinematography, and Best Original Song. It won in the categories of Best Original Song and Best Supporting Actor for Kaluuya, who triumphed over Stanfield and was also recognized in the same category. Stream “Judas and the Black Messiah” starting from December 1st.

A mysterious woman named Trinity (Carrie-Anne Moss) reaches out to him, leading him into a shadowy underworld and introducing him to Morpheus (Laurence Fishburne), a renowned hacker labeled as a terrorist by the authorities.
In his life, Neo had often pondered the authenticity of his existence, but the real world’s truth surpassed anything he could have fathomed. Now, he finds himself facing formidable computer programs called agents who will relentlessly thwart Neo’s endeavors and the entire human uprising. This film, recognized for its exceptional editing, sound design, sound effects editing, and visual effects, was victorious in all four Academy Award categories it was nominated for. Intrigued by their differences, the owners of the brokerage firm where Louis works, brothers Mortimer (Don Ameche) and Randolph Duke (Ralph Bellamy), bet on whether someone’s surroundings or inherent traits dictate their success in life. They then orchestrate a swap between the two characters to observe the outcome.
Without Louis and Billy Ray realizing it, the Duke brothers orchestrate events leading to Louis losing his job, home, and friends, followed by putting Billy Ray in a lower position at the company.
