Details about the plot are being tightly guarded. Nolan, together with his producing partner and wife Emma Thomas, will be producing the project under their production company, Syncopy.
Reports indicate that Damon, Holland, Hathaway, and Pattinson are central to the main cast, whereas Nyong’o and Zendaya are rumored to play supporting characters in this production.
The latest project sees director Nolan returning to the studio behind his critically acclaimed film “Oppenheimer”, which grossed a remarkable $976 million globally and clinched the Oscar for best picture. It was through Universal that Nolan worked on “Oppenheimer” for the first time, following his public departure from longtime partner Warner Bros. in late 2020. Unlike “Oppenheimer”, which was acquired by Universal through an open bidding process, this new venture is reported to have gone directly to the studio.
Theron, represented by CAA and Hansen Jacobson, recently graced the big screen in “Fast X” and is set to return in the follow-up of Netflix’s production, “The Old Guard” sequel.
