As a dedicated filmmaker, I take great pride in knowing that my audience anticipates quality from my work. I am committed to not only meeting but exceeding these expectations and plan to reveal key insights through my films. In essence, I aim to create an “unveiling” or “expose” that will captivate viewers and deepen their understanding of the subject matter.
In the movie, the director emphasized that it would reveal the true struggles of a Bollywood star’s wife, going beyond the sparkle and luxury.
He’s putting in a lot of effort to navigate through various issues ranging from public scandals to handling his spouse’s ups and downs in movie sales.
Furthermore, Bhandarkar, recognized for his thorough research before portraying subjects on screen, disclosed he drew inspiration from real-life Bollywood wives and has incorporated fresh aspects into his “thought-provoking” movie. He mentioned, “I have gone back to the script four to five times, incorporating new elements while maintaining the story’s authenticity and relatability.
Nevertheless, even though he has worked diligently and feels confident about the topic, the director of Page 3 remains uncertain about how the movie industry will respond to him on this subject. He can only hope that they will admire it as they have with his previous films.
He expressed his hope that, just as his previous films like Fashion, Page 3, and Corporate were well-received by our industry peers, they would not be bothered or offended by Wives of Bollywood.
