As a seasoned analyst with over two decades of experience in the tech and finance industries, I find CZ’s recent musings on AI integration within blockchain and crypto intriguing. Given my personal background, I can relate to his desire to leverage technology to bridge geographical gaps while promoting inclusivity – a goal that has been a constant theme throughout my career.
In a recent X post, the Changpeng ‘CZ’ Zhao shares his thoughts on the use of AI tagging on-chain and why AI integration would be beneficial for crypto moving forward.
On November 27th, the ex-CEO of Binance expressed an opinion that AI labeling might be ideal for on-blockchain applications, given its potential to expedite cryptocurrency transactions and eliminate unwarranted biases.
As an analyst, I would rephrase the statement as follows: “I believe that artificial intelligence tagging and other AI-related tasks can effectively be processed on the blockchain. This allows us to tap into a global workforce, regardless of geographical location, while instantaneously compensating them in cryptocurrency.” Moreover, I should note that Binance’s solution, BNB Greenfield, is already equipped with the ability to integrate AI data seamlessly.
“More tooling still needs to be built. Let’s build them,” he continues.
As a forward-thinking crypto investor, I see immense potential for leveraging AI capabilities on the blockchain. By doing so, we can tap into a global workforce, irrespective of geographical boundaries, at minimal costs. This workforce can be instantly rewarded in cryptocurrency, creating a borderless and inclusive economy. The BNBCHAIN Greenfield offers the necessary storage capacity for this endeavor. However, to fully realize this vision, we need to develop more tools tailored for this unique on-chain AI environment. Let’s roll up our sleeves and start building!

In another discussion, CZ replies to Abdul Rafay Gadit’s comment, who is the Co-Founder of Zignaly, on whether there are any resources to learn about utilizing AI with blockchains. He explains that the intersection of AI and cryptocurrency chains isn’t extensively researched yet because it’s still a fresh, emerging technology.
CZ mentioned that it’s still quite fresh, with limited resources available for learning. Instead, he has been engaging directly with the creators and technologists within the field to gain insights.
Over the past year, there has been a significant influx of AI-driven innovations causing ripples within the cryptocurrency world. Among these advancements, one that stands out is Truth Terminal – an AI-powered meme bot. This bot has sparked a series of viral meme coins such as GOAT(GOAT) and FARTCOIN. In a short period, both digital currencies have witnessed their market values skyrocket to the tens of millions.
Additionally, there existed Flavia – a token character managed by AI, crafted from a digitally fabricated internet persona, which was the brainchild of Trevor McFedries, the co-founder and CEO of Brud, a multimedia firm specializing in creating virtual identities.
Speaking about blockchain integration, the protocol Injective recently introduced a software development kit, which allows users to construct their own AI agents within the blockchain they named iAgent. This AI-driven tool can utilize natural language processing for transactions related to payments and trades, in addition to automating interactions with databases, APIs, and applications using data and applications.
After emerging from prison for the first time, CZ shared that he intends to utilize his newfound freedom to delve deeper into recent advancements in the cryptocurrency world, with a particular focus on artificial intelligence.
