As a die-hard fan who’s been following Yami Gautam’s journey since her small-screen days, I must say her life has been nothing short of a Bollywood blockbuster! From her humble beginnings to her meteoric rise in the industry, every step she takes is filled with grace and determination.
Today, Bollywood actress Yami Gautam is commemorating a significant event in her life – her first birthday as a mother to son Vedavid, alongside husband Aditya Dhar. As she basks in the happiness of this personal milestone, let’s reminisce about moments from the past when her co-star Hrithik Roshan showered her with praise. He described working with Yami as an ‘immensely rewarding experience’, and shared that they both channeled their Kaabil characters even outside of the film set.
In a chat with The Indian Express, Hrithik Roshan expressed that collaborating with Yami Gautam on Kaabil was deeply fulfilling for him. He stated, “Working alongside Yami has been one of the most enlightening episodes in my life. She is not just a talented actress but also a genuinely kind soul.
In simpler terms, the actor from The War film praised Yami Gautam for her exceptional talent in portraying vulnerability, which gave her roles a distinctive depth. Furthermore, he mentioned that she truly grasped the core of her characters and performed them in a way that significantly enhanced the overall experience. He also voiced his belief in her future prosperity, stating that she is destined to accomplish significant milestones within the industry.
Hrithik Roshan discussed the powerful on-screen relationship he had with the birthday girl in Kaabil. He stated that he and Yami Gautam were completely engrossed in their characters, Rohan and Supriya. The sensitivity and mutual regard portrayed by their roles created a genuine and emotional bond between them.
In an interview, the so-called Greek God of Bollywood stated that their on-set interactions were deeply impacted by the nature of their characters, which in turn made their chemistry feel more genuine and potent. He explained that during filming, they developed a strong bond, but it was primarily based on drawing from their characters and engaging with each other as such.
Additionally, Hrithik applauded Yami’s dance prowess, confessing that he struggled to keep up with her exuberance during their dance scenes. Despite his confidence in his own dancing abilities, he was notably captivated by her unique style.
He was spellbound by the way her authentic charm and lively spirit seemed to radiate in her dancing, and found himself enchanted by her act so much that he requested a demonstration of her routine. Later, he openly acknowledged that he had adopted her style, admiring the joy and carefree vibe she infused into the dance.
2017’s film Kaabil, helmed by Sanjay Gupta, featured Hrithik Roshan and Yami Gautam in pivotal roles, with Ronit Roy delivering an impactful performance. The story revolves around Rohan (portrayed by Hrithik), a blind dubbing artist, and his wife Supriya (Yami’s character). Produced by Hrithik’s father, Rakesh Roshan, the movie presents a gripping tale of love, sorrow, and retribution, exploring these themes through the lives of its characters.
In her personal updates on Instagram, Yami has announced that she’s resumed her professional duties following the arrival of her baby boy. Additionally, she shared an image from the set, where she was savoring a sweet treat, a laddu, prepared by her sister.
