WWE Blew My Mind With The New Day’s Anniversary Segment, But I’m Most Excited About What It Might Be Setting Up

As a longtime WWE fan who’s seen my fair share of twists and turns, I can say that the latest episode of Monday Night Raw left me utterly spellbound! The New Day’s 10th anniversary celebration wasn’t just a party, it was a powder keg waiting to explode with drama.

I was already quite excited about the many WWE events scheduled for 2025 television, but Monday Night Raw managed to increase my anticipation even more. I must admit, when the show announced that The New Day would celebrate their 10th anniversary, I didn’t expect things to unfold as they did, but I certainly never imagined it would turn out the way we saw it.

To put it frankly, the latest version of New Day hasn’t been quite the same ever since Big E departed from the group, embarked on his title journey, and was forced to take a break following a severe neck injury. Kofi Kingston and Xavier Woods have found it challenging to maintain their prominence in the wake of this change, but that seems to be turning around following an intriguing segment – one I believe will keep us engaged for some time to come, at least based on what appears to be in store.

Big E Arrived To Stop The New Day From Breaking Up, But It Didn’t Go Like He Planned

At a moment when it appeared Kofi and Xavier were drifting apart, Big E’s music played, signaling his entrance onto the Raw broadcast. He extended an offer to his former teammates, even though doctors haven’t given him the green light to step back into the ring just yet. His intention is to rejoin The New Day in a managerial role, hoping to inspire them and remind everyone of what once made them one of the WWE’s most formidable tag teams.

Similar to myself, the crowd was thrilled by the deal. Furthermore, just as I was, they were taken aback by the duo’s reaction.

Initially, Xavier and Kofi publicly accused Big E of being responsible for their past difficulties, implying that he could have returned to the ring sooner if he hadn’t been too fearful to do so. Their accusations escalated to such an extent that Big E was advised to leave the ring before things turned violent, effectively ending any chance of them working together again. Following his departure, Xavier and Kofi strengthened their partnership as a tag team instead.

Why I Think This Means Big E And The New Day Will Feud At WrestleMania

There’s been no shortage of times I’ve gotten excited about the rumors of Big E coming back to the WWE, but this time, it genuinely seems authentic. Given the strong bond these wrestlers have outside their professional personas, I believe this storyline wouldn’t be unfolding as it is now if there wasn’t a solid possibility that Big E could soon receive medical clearance, which would enable him to engage in a feud with Kofi Kingston and Xavier Woods at WrestleMania.

Remember that Monday Night Raw is moving to Netflix, and many people who may not have been watching pro wrestling lately will be tuning in with their Netflix subscription. The New Day has been one of the most mainstream factions of the WWE for the past decade, so now would be the best time to make a big feud for them to entice fans who haven’t been watching as of late or viewers only vaguely familiar with the WWE. Also, diehard wrestling fans would go nuts for this feud, so I hope my instincts are right.

For just a short while longer, Monday Night Raw airs on USA Network on Mondays at 8:00 p.m. ET. While I’ve gotten used to the show being two hours long, I’m eager for the Netflix era to begin and for all the fun and wrestling feuds that may come with it.
