As a seasoned gamer and strategy enthusiast, I must say that this Rise of Kittens tier list is as thorough as a cat’s grooming routine! The detailed descriptions for each hero, from their strengths to their weaknesses, are simply purr-fect for newbies and veterans alike.
When you dive into the world of Rise of Kittens, it’s crucial to strategize about the optimal team composition. To assist you in this endeavor, today’s article offers valuable insights – a comprehensive Rise of Kittens tier list, which evaluates and ranks every individual hero (regardless of their rarity level).
In this manual, you’ll discover the performance of each of these hero kittens in both PvE and PvP scenarios. This data can be beneficial when summoning, as it helps you make informed decisions about which high-ranked SSS heroes to retain and which may not be worth your effort.
What’s the deal with the SSS heroes?
Let me begin by saying that each hero could be good if upgraded enough. However, only the SSS heroes stand a chance in end-game battles. The other heroes you get, the purples and even the low golden ones could be okay end game, but not quite. If you don’t want to struggle, you want to try acquiring some of the top-tier heroes in the first place.
Essentially, you can upgrade most heroes to SSS rank, but since you can only use 6 heroes in a team, it’s best you focus on 6 main ones and use the rest as fodder. You will need a lot of copies to max them out, so upgrading everything will be useful.
In this Rise of Kittens tier list, you will find the absolute best heroes there are (based on their skills at max potential) so you should focus on maxing them out. They are good for clearing end-game content without much hassle, and even if they are a little harder to acquire, you will only need a few copies of them. Given we have a few free select summons, you can always aim to get them from it.
1 S+ Tier
- EX, Dian Wei (Wei)
- Nobunaga (Wei)
- Wu Zetian (Wei)
- Caesar (Shu)
- Alexander (Wu)
- Zhou Yu (Wu)
- King Arthur (Warlord)
- Lu Bu (Warlord)
- Hades (Demon)
- Ares (Demon)
- Susanoo (Demon)
- D. Cao Cao (Demon)
- Sun Wukong (Immortal/Divine)
- Zhuang Zhou (Immortal/Divine)
- Zeus (Chaos)
Nobunaga
– he deals a lot of physical AoE damage, making him one of the best DPS in the game. He can detonate Burning and Bleeding effects, so it works well if you can pair him up with other heroes that can apply them.
Zeus
– he is the best hero in the game. and hence his position at the very top of the Rise of Kittens tier list. His kit has powerful AoE damage, and he can mark enemies. After two turns, he can detonate the marks for additional damage. Zeus scales with a lot of HP and ATK.
Wu Zetian
– she is a Priest who has outstanding debuffs, damage and heals. She can heal 2 random allies, and on top of that, weaken enemies and stun them when her HP drops below 50%.
2 S Tier
- Cao Cao (Wei)
- Genghis Khan (Shu)
- Zhao Yun (Shu)
- Guan Yu (Shu)
- Hannibal (Wu)
- Yi Song-Gye (Wu)
- Lancelot (Wu)
- Diaochan (Warlord)
- Hua Tuo (Warlord)
- Kaguya (Demon)
- Morrigan (Demon)
- Poseidon (Immortal/Divine)
- Artemis (Immortal/Divine)
- Venus (Immortal/Divine)
Guan Yu – he deals AoE damage that reduces the enemy’s Armor. He can inflict burning effects, which pairs well with Nobunaga. Oh, and did I mention he can also counterattack?
Kaguya – she’s an Assassin who deals damage proportional to the enemy’s Max HP. She works well against bosses, and also in the Arena since she can deal additional damage against Priests.
Artemis – she’s a more dedicated Priest (healer), so if you need more healing than Wu Zetian provides, she’s the right choice. She can also buff Divine damage, so she is the perfect healer if you decide to make an Immortal/Divine team.
3 A Tier
- Dian Wei (Wei)
- Cheok J. G. (Wei)
- Pang Tong (Shu)
- Hua Mulan (Wu)
- Moh. Fatih (Wu)
- Merlin (Warlord)
- Chandragupta (Warlord)
Pang Tong – he is a Mage who relies on AoE damage and inflicts damage over time effects, such as Burning. He can be a good substitute for another hero that can apply Burn if you already have Nobunaga.
Cheok J. G, – he has a pretty fun kit since he can provide a little bit of support. With his Balanced Offense and Defense, he can restore some HP to the ally with the lowest HP, and whenever his HP drops below 50%, his Armor gets a boost.
Chandragupta – he can reduce the enemy’s ATK, while also boosting allies’ ATK. He is a decent Priest, albeit not one that can provide a lot of heals – just debuffs.
4 B Tier
- Pang De (Wei)
- Qn Seondeok (Wei)
- Xun You (Wei)
- Matilda (Wei)
- Zhuge Liang (Shu)
- Wei Yan (Shu)
- Fa Zheng (Shu)
- Jiang Wei (Shu)
- Siegfried (Wu)
- Musashi (Warlord)
- Zhang Jue (Warlord)
- Ma Teng (Warlord)
- Abe no Seimei (Demon)
- Fuxi (Immortal/Divine)
Ma Teng – he is a Ranger who has a chance to silence enemies with his Skill Ban. He can also boost his own Crit Rate.
Jiang Wei – he is pretty basic, buffing his own ATK and restoring a little bit of HP.
Wei Yan – he’s an Assassin who focuses on the back line. He can inflict Bleed, so he can work okay-ish with Nobunaga until you get something better (in case you have him).
5 C Tier
- Hanzo (Wei)
- Zhang Bao (Shu)
- Galahad (Shu)
- Zhang Zhao (Wu)
- Kenshin (Wu)
- Yi Sun-Sin (Warlord)
- Tadakatsu (Warlord)
- Rahu (Demon)
- Helen of Troy (Immortal/Divine)
It might be more productive to focus on upgrading heroes other than those at the lower levels. Upgrading them to a maximum of 5 stars isn’t sufficient for taking on some end-game bosses. I’d suggest using them temporarily until you acquire stronger heroes, and then move on.
The provided list represents the rankings for each character in Rise of Kittens! For animal enthusiasts, there’s also a ranking system for Capybara Go, while those seeking a more complex game might prefer the tier list for King Arthur Legends Rise.
