As a seasoned actor and avid follower of Indian cinema, I am thrilled to witness the Ramayana project unfolding before our eyes. The casting choices made by Nitesh Tiwari and DNEG are truly inspired, and I can’t help but feel a sense of anticipation as we approach this epic saga.
Over the past few years, the Ramayana project has generated a lot of buzz within Indian cinema. Filmmakers Nitesh Tiwari and DNEG have made an impressive decision by assembling a talented cast that includes Ranbir Kapoor, Yash, Sai Pallavi, and Sunny Deol. Actor Ravi Dubey has recently revealed his role as Lakshman in this epic tale. Additionally, he expressed admiration for Ranbir, calling him ‘graceful’.
As a lifestyle expert, I can tell you that in a recent conversation with Connect Cine, I, Ravi Dubey, was asked about the possibility of me playing Lakshman. With the utmost respect for my creators, I am happy to confirm that, given their permission, I would indeed be honored to take on this role. It’s essential to preserve the sacredness of any project, and I believe in waiting for the go-ahead from the creators before sharing details about it.
Following discussions with producer Namit Malhotra and director Nitesh Tiwari, the actor received approval to accept the role, thereby preventing unwarranted conjecture.
Ravi Dubey labeled the movie’s storytelling as both heartfelt and genuine, and spoke about his initial collaboration with Ranbir Kapoor. He lauded the actor portraying Animal for his kindness, compassion, and elegance. Remarkably, even though he is a major star, Ranbir Kapoor maintains humility and ensures that his dedication on set never overshadows the work environment.
Ravi Dubey emphasized that whenever Ranbir appears on camera, his commitment shines through. He further praised Ranbir as both commercially successful and refined among his contemporaries, expressing a deep sense of admiration and affection towards him. In fact, he likened Ranbir to an older brother, stating, “He is the most graceful individual I have met, and I look up to and cherish him like my own elder brother.
Previously, Namit Malhotra shared the first promotional artwork of the much awaited movie on Instagram. This artwork displays the film’s name and an arrow pointing upwards, suggesting a grand adventure to come.
In a touching post, Namit reminisced about his lengthy voyage, sharing that more than ten years ago, he embarked on a quest to adapt the esteemed tale, which has been cherished by countless people for over 5,000 years, into a blockbuster movie.
