As a seasoned gamer with a deep-rooted passion for both automotive culture and fashion, I must confess that this collaboration between Type 7, Loopwheeler, and House Industries has caught my attention like a Porsche 993 Carrera RS catches the wind. The synergy of craftsmanship, analog experiences, and timeless design is a symphony to my senses!
Type 7, the magazine powered by Porsche, has joined forces with the renowned Japanese apparel creator Loopwheeler and the design company House Industries to introduce the exclusive “Sevenwheeler” collection. This collaboration highlights the harmony between skillful craftsmanship, authentic experiences, and enduring aesthetics.
Established by Satoshi Suzuki in 1999, Loopwheeler is known for its unique approach to crafting high-quality cotton clothing using old Tsuriamiki machines. These vintage machines operate at a leisurely speed, producing fabrics that contemporary machinery can’t duplicate. This slow and meticulous process reflects the attention to detail and patience found in classic air-cooled Porsches.
Under the guidance of Andy Cruz, House Industries drew upon their creative talents, taking inspiration from Suzuki’s unique Porsche 993 Carrera RS. Their designs manage to balance whimsy with precision, perfectly embodying both the intricate Loopwheeler manufacturing process and Porsche’s rich analog legacy.
As a passionate gamer, I’d put it like this: “In this bundle, you’ll find a unique set of House Industries art prints, a bespoke Sevenwheeler carpet, and an elite ERG Media zine, all exclusively mine! This zine, beautifully captured by Type 7 Creative Director Thomas Walk, takes you behind the scenes of Loopwheeler’s intricate manufacturing, a process admired by fashion connoisseurs globally.
1) Check out the details of the project in the video below. The collection will go on sale starting December 5 at 12:00 CET, and it can be purchased exclusively on Type 7’s official website or at Loopwheeler’s physical store.
