Marvel Rivals: Every LEAKED Upcoming Hero

As a lifelong Marvel enthusiast who has spent countless hours poring over comic books and movies, I can confidently say that Marvel Rivals is the perfect fusion of my two passions: gaming and the Marvel Universe! The game’s impressive roster of characters, each with their unique abilities and playstyles, has me hooked.

Marvel Rivals has swept through the internet, sparking a sensation much like Blizzard’s Overwatch did before it. This collaboration between Marvel and NetEase represents one of their most triumphant video game debuts, perhaps even their best. In just its launch weekend, it attracted over 10 million players, positioning itself to challenge the crowded hero-shooter genre with its extensive lineup of iconic Marvel characters.

The game was launched featuring 33 characters, some iconic like Sorcerer Supreme and Doctor Strange, others less recognized such as Cloak & Dagger. Marvel Rivals aspires to make an indelible impact on the gaming industry by positioning itself as a competitive title; one that certain analysts suggest could dethrone the legendary ‘Overwatch.’

Eager fans have already dug deep into the game files, revealing possible new characters – both heroes and villains – that will be introduced in the third-person shooter within the next few months. Here’s a sneak peek at the characters that data miners believe will join Marvel Rivals as future additions.

The Thing

Anyone not isolated from the world would be aware of ‘The Thing’ from Fantastic 4. This massive character with a tender soul could prove to be an intimidating force when he enters the fray in Marvel Rivals. Although his participation hasn’t been officially announced, the game’s class structure hints that The Thing is expected to assume the Vanguard position. As per reports from @RivalsLeaks on Marvel Rivals X (previously known as Twitter), this speculation seems to be accurate.

The Thing’s extraordinary power, known as ‘Slam Moment,’ generates immense force to push any adversaries in its path upwards. This talent is anticipated to be a significant game-altering move, ideal for challenging payloads and making room during intense team battles by creating space.

As a gamer, I’ve got this character with two standout abilities that make me a formidable force on the battlefield. First off, my ‘Rock Solid’ skill makes me as unyielding as a mountain, granting me an edge by making me resistant to being pushed back or moved around – it’s a game-changer when it comes to holding down the frontline. Secondly, my ‘Furious Charge’ ability lets me barrel through enemies and leave a seismic zone in my wake that locks opponents up tight. It’s a powerful tool for keeping my adversaries off balance and on their toes!

The Human Torch/Johnny Storm

The second Fantastic Four hero leaked for Marvel Rivals is none other than the hot-headed (literally) Johnny Storm, better known as The Human Torch. While his exact role remains unclear, it’s widely speculated that he will take on the Duelist role.

Although we haven’t found all of Johnny’s equipment in the data files, we have discovered his Team-Up Ability named ‘Omega Fire.’ With this ability, Johnny and Storm can combine their powers. Specifically, The Human Torch uses one of his tornadoes to light up Storm’s hurricane during her ultimate. This joint power play can cause issues for Strategists whose abilities are on cooldown.

Ultron

Observe Ultron, the divine figure of machinery and the formidable AI opponent of the Avengers, famously known as their ultimate foe. It might come as a surprise that instead of assuming roles like Vanguard or Duelist, Ultron is categorized as a Strategist. His primary duty is to disrupt the enemy team by employing his ‘Encephalo Ray,’ which is essentially a powerful energy beam attack he uses repeatedly.

From a strategic standpoint (or offering support, for those who play Overwatch), my defensive skill, “IMPERATIVE: FIREWALL,” deploys drones that bolster the health of allies in close proximity, much like Illari’s Healing Pylon in Overwatch 2.

In another phrasing, his second talent, titled “Patch,” dispatches a large drone to trail an ally continuously, offering ongoing healing. Moreover, Ultron is equipped with a passive skill that lets him glide freely across the battlefield, mimicking the flight style of Iron Man enthusiasts.

In the truest sense, the movie title “Ultron Unleashed: Fury of Ultron,” reflects the formidable robotic power that Ultron possesses. This capability summons a horde of Ultron Drones to attack enemies with Encephalo Rays, causing harm to adversaries while concurrently restoring health to allies.

Mister Fantastic

Now, let’s introduce the head of the Fantastic Four: Reed Richards, more famously known as “Mr. Fantastic.” He’s about to make an appearance in Marvel Rivals, and soon you’ll be able to utilize his extraordinary skills right at your fingertips – quite conveniently so. Although his specific role hasn’t been disclosed yet, his powers seem tailor-made for the Duelist classification.

The complete set of equipment for Mister Fantastic has been exposed, but as of now, we don’t know what his Team-Up Ability will be. His main ability, ‘Elastic Punch,’ allows him to throw a powerful punch that extends his arm to hit opponents. His secondary ability, ‘Rubber Grip,’ enables him to stretch his arms and ensnare enemies, making them immobile and drawing in up to two additional foes.

With every skill he uses, ‘Elastic Strength’ passively produces elasticity, boosting his attacking potency and aiding in the recovery of his allies.

Mr. Fantastic’s defensive technique, ‘Reflexive Rubber,’ enables him to elongate his body as a protective measure against incoming attacks, then release the absorbed energy in a strategic manner. On the offensive side, he can rapidly approach an enemy using his ability called ‘Flexible Elongation,’ boosting the health of nearby allies if he manages to strike successfully. This implies that he could excel at diving tactics, similar to Wolverine or Iron Fist.

When it comes to my ultimate move, “Brainiac Bounce,” Mr. Fantastic soars high and slams back down, sending foes flying who are within reach. I can pull off this trick six times in a row, making me quite the intimidating presence in any battle. I hope you’re ready for a tough fight!

As a gamer immersed in this virtual universe, it’s clear that only four characters – Human Torch, Ultron, The Thing, and once again, Ultron – have had their ability kits leaked. However, clues hidden within data-mined files suggest the possibility of other heroes joining our team as well.

  • Captain Marvel
  • Jean Grey
  • Blade
  • Emma Frost
  • Shuri
  • Angela
  • Hit-Monkey
  • Deadpool
  • Phoenix (Jean Grey)

Although these characters haven’t been officially confirmed yet, they might hint at potential future content or aspects of the game that might not make it into the final version. Gamers can only cross their fingers, hoping to see them added to the playable characters eventually.

Marvel’s Rivals is brimming with possibilities, and it seems we’re merely at the start. With additional heroes and battlefields in production, this game is set to amplify its thrilling, competitive hero-shooter experience under the Marvel label. Players are eagerly anticipating the arrival of those rumored characters. Personally, I’m keeping my fingers crossed for Ghost Rider or Silver Surfer to join the fray sooner rather than later.
