When no reference is available, AI offers a head start. It’s not something we can avoid. The future belongs to AI in cinema. AI will dominate many aspects of filmmaking. It’s a tool that’s here to stay. Mastering it, utilizing it skillfully, and learning how to manipulate it are crucial. We’re having a great time experimenting with it.

Director Vikas Bahl Explains How AI Helped Him Explain His Vision In Just 2 Minutes

Speaking about his latest movie and how AI facilitated his work, director Vikas Bahl shared that his film “Open the Door to My Heart, Darling” is set in a timeless middle-class Goa. He mentioned that traditional heads of departments often take time to grasp the vision, but with AI, he was able to quickly convey the entire movie concept within just two minutes. Initially, he wasn’t very familiar with AI, but once he recognized its benefits and understood how it could help solve his problems, he embraced it as an ally.

Director Anees Bazmee Shares How AI Broke His Misconceptions

When asked about AI, Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3 director Anees Bazmee replied, “I’ve been using AI quite a bit in my movies lately. At first, I didn’t really understand what it was because I’d made so many films and never needed it. But when I close my eyes, I can visualize the scenes for my film as if I’ve already shot them. Before starting a new project, I feel like I’ve already seen it and know exactly what needs to be done. However, whenever something new comes along, I’m always eager to learn about it and seek guidance from those who can help me. In the future, AI will play a significant role in my films.

Director Amar Kaushik Says Why One Must Not Shy Away From AI

After learning about various directors’ perspectives on AI, Amar Kaushik, the director of Stree 2, expressed that AI should not be avoided due to its beneficial role in visualization. However, he cautioned that it should not overshadow a director’s creative vision. He also jokingly remarked, “If you type ‘Write a story for Stree 2’ into ChatGPT, they provide an entire plot, and you wonder, ‘Wow, where are they getting all this from?’

Directors Discuss Encounters Of AI Surprising Them

Afterward, the directors engaged in a conversation amongst themselves. Amar Kaushik disclosed that he received a narrative from a person who obtained it from ChatGPT. Meanwhile, Anees Bazmee revealed that his grandson managed to generate four fundamental concepts for a script within an hour.
