After Sunil Pal, Stree 2 actor Mushtaq Khan kidnapped from Delhi-Meerut Highway; tortured for 12 hours: Deets

As a fervent aficionado of the Indian cinema industry, I find myself deeply alarmed and saddened by yet another instance of an artist’s safety being compromised. The harrowing tale of Mushtaq Khan’s kidnapping serves as a grim reminder of the darker side of our beloved industry.

The world of entertainment was rocked when it was reported that well-known comedian Sunil Pal alleged he had been kidnapped. Now, another similar case involving actor Mushtaq Khan from the film Gadar 2 has surfaced. As per news articles, the veteran artist was allegedly taken from the Delhi-Meerut highway and subjected to torture for a period of 12 hours.

Speaking with India Today Digital, Mushtaq Khan’s associate claimed that the actor was tricked into traveling to Delhi, under the guise of attending an award ceremony in Meerut on November 20. They even provided a ticket for the event and transferred money in advance to his bank account.

Upon reaching the national capital, the actor from Gadar 2 found himself deceived into getting into a car that eventually took him away from New Delhi to a remote location near Bijnor. At this isolated spot, he was seized by kidnappers who allegedly tormented him for twelve hours. They also threatened Khan with a ransom of one crore rupees.

Despite their efforts, the kidnappers were only able to withdraw Rs 2 lakh from Khan’s and his son’s bank accounts. Shivam disclosed that Khan was able to break free from his captors when he noticed a mosque in the area. Seizing the opportunity, he ran away and sought aid from local residents who recognized him. With the assistance of the police, Mushtaq successfully returned to Mumbai safely.

Mushtaq’s business associate declared that his relatives were deeply affected by the event involving him. Following the occurrence, Shivam traveled to Bijnor to submit an official police report, with Khan planning to do the same shortly.

Shivam shared that we’ve got evidence such as flight tickets, bank records, and surveillance videos close to the airport, along with his familiarity with the area and the specific house where he was held. I believe the police should be able to apprehend the suspects very soon.

Regarding the kidnapping of Sunil Pal, the Uttar Pradesh police apprehended two suspects who were seen on CCTV buying jewelry with what is suspected to be ransom money. The arrests occurred following raids at over two dozen locations in Bijnor and the detention of around a dozen individuals. It was reported that Pal had transferred approximately 7.5 lakh rupees into certain bank accounts.
