As a seasoned gamer who has spent countless hours immersing myself in various virtual worlds and film universes, I can wholeheartedly empathize with Anne Hathaway‘s longing to create a Christmas movie masterpiece. Her passion for the craft is palpable, and her dedication to both independent and blockbuster projects alike mirrors the diverse gaming experiences I crave as well.
Anne Hathaway’s wish-list for experiences could be more holiday-themed than yours: The actress has expressed her intense desire to create a Christmas film.
Anne Hathaway admitted to Women’s Wear Daily that she hasn’t produced a fantastic Christmas film yet. It might sound unusual, but making a Christmas movie is something she really wants to accomplish.
Hathaway expressed her gratitude for the diverse genres she’s previously explored, acknowledging the many paths an acting career can take. “I am incredibly grateful that my career has taken this unique direction,” she said.
She added, “This job is remarkably unique, and I’ve never found myself in a position quite like this – though perhaps those who consistently produce billion-dollar films might understand, if you’re deeply passionate about independent cinema as I am, you appreciate every opportunity that allows the genre to thrive and enables me to switch between these two fascinating realms.
Additionally in the interview, Hathaway shared updates on the upcoming sequels for her cherished movies, The Princess Diaries and The Devil Wears Prada. She mentioned that they’re expected to release “as soon as possible.
On both of those movies, I was exceptionally well-nurtured,” Hathaway explained. “When I filmed The Princess Diaries, I was practically still a minor, turning 18 during production. Similarly, when I worked on The Devil Wears Prada, I was very young and inexperienced. Both film communities, led by directors Garry Marshall and David Frankel, nurtured and supported me throughout these projects. Now that I have the skills and maturity to guide others, I’m thrilled to return the favor and care for my team as a respected leader on set.
Hathaway additionally discussed her forthcoming movie (yet to be named) alongside Christopher Nolan, a production featuring Zendaya, Matt Damon, Tom Holland, Charlize Theron, Robert Pattinson, and Lupita Nyong’o as well.
She expressed that she’s overwhelmed with emotions about the secret project, as she finds it hard to put her feelings into words. It brings her immense happiness, but she struggles to discuss it.
Previously, the actress had collaborated with director Nolan and his producing partner wife, Emma, on the film “Interstellar”. As she expressed, “To be invited into their creative environment is truly a privilege, one that I know from personal experience is among the best possible destinations.” Being invited not just once, but twice, felt like an extraordinary achievement to her. Three invitations, she admitted, might have seemed excessive, so she never dared to hope for it. But now that it has happened, it brings a sense of validation and emotional satisfaction. To put it frankly, it makes me feel as if I’m on the right path.
