As a seasoned gamer with years of experience under my belt, I find myself looking forward to this weekend with great anticipation. With the cold weather settling in and the holidays around the corner, I’m on the hunt for games that will keep me warm and cozy while also satisfying my gaming needs.
Hey there, welcome to our latest edition of The Wrapp.
Here’s my take on it: “I’m excited to share with you our weekend gaming plans, fellow enthusiasts! This peek into what the Pocket Gamer crew is playing might spark your curiosity about the quirky and exciting adventures we embark on when not delivering you the latest gaming updates. Who knows, you might discover a game that captivates you too!

This week has introduced the latest summon banners into Wuthering Waves, an event that would typically bring happiness. Yet, I find myself feeling rather gloomy about it as I was almost able to max out Danjin’s Resonance Chain with the previous banner. Currently, she is only one summon away from perfection, so this weekend will be spent in a state of sorrow.
Instead, I’ve just started playing Yolk Heroes: A Long Tamago, which was recently released. So far, my initial thoughts suggest that the duration of each character’s run seems rather brief compared to what I anticipated, such as Digimon World where you spend more time together. Here’s hoping that this is merely an early impression and the game will prove me wrong.

Gosh, it seems I’ve been rather absent from mobile gaming lately. The hustle and bustle of December activities has left me with little spare time for anything else. However, I’m eagerly anticipating the Pokemon Go Raid Day this weekend. So far, Necrozma could only be captured twice. With the Raid Weekend upon us, we have an opportunity to catch as many as we can raid, and I’m hoping to amass quite a collection!

Delving further into the bustle of December, I’ve been busy gathering additional tales for our Weekly Ahead of the Game segment, resulting in an exciting array of upcoming regional debuts and early access games on the horizon over the next couple of weeks.
Here’s a description of three unique games: One is a contemplative puzzle game about assisting lost spirits to rise, despite being trapped in a time loop yourself (it took a dark turn quickly), another is an action-packed shooter survival game where you seek revenge on the moon (I am your retribution), and lastly, a charming match-3 game where you merge cheerful blobs together to acquire delightful pets (count me in)! Let’s dive in!

Among mobile games, I’ve been overlooking the Monument Valley series, although I’m aware of its significance. However, I’ve never had the opportunity to play it due to my busy schedule. This weekend, I plan to rectify that. With Jupiter praising the third installment and me being a Netflix subscriber without fully utilizing it, I thought this would be an ideal moment to give it a try. The visuals are breathtakingly beautiful, and I’m craving some mental exercise, so it appears to be a fitting pick for me.

This upcoming weekend appears to be quite packed for me, and I anticipate that most of my free moments (if any) will be occupied by managing various side-projects and hobbies. If miraculously find some time for something additional (given that I’ll surely continue unpacking Pokemon TCG cards and advancing in Monster Hunter Now & Pokemon Go), it would likely involve exploring the newly refreshed content of Suzerain’s Kingdom of Rizia, as Will recently reviewed it.
Among them, the Suzerain, along with Six Ages/King of Dragon Pass and Hundred Days, form my cherished trio of games in the “These are games I really want to play on PC, but I find myself playing them anyway” collection.

This weekend, I’m not planning much due to a minor cold. However, if I do anything, it might be diving back into the game Balatro since it has been receiving numerous awards lately, even from us. So far, I’ve struggled to fully grasp it despite some promising playthroughs. But considering its critical success, I believe it’s worth another attempt.

It’s been like a week since Path of Exile 2 came out and I still haven’t tried it. I’ve only watched some streams, and the game looks amazing. The only reason why I haven’t so far is because I’m afraid I might like it a little bit too much. I have thousands of hours on Steam in PoE, 1 so… yeah.
Mu Origin 3: Demon Swordmaster. Having invested some time in Mu: Dark Epoch, I’m curious to explore the similarities and differences between these two games.
That’s all when it comes to gaming. I might go touch some grass over the weekend, actually.

For the last seven days, I’ve exchanged a few discussions with two of our coworkers on the topic of Path of Exile 2. In my previous posts, I’ve brought up this game, but my schedule hasn’t permitted me to play it extensively. I’m eagerly anticipating the upcoming weekend as I hope to find some spare time (specifically, a handful of hours) to fully immerse myself in it.
Besides waiting for Path of Exile 2, I’m eagerly anticipating finding the opportunity to explore a small, newly-released mobile game titled The Tower. I’ve had it on my device for a while, yet my free moments haven’t aligned perfectly to start delving into something fresh.
I’ve come across some information on another game titled Frog’s Kitchen, a charming restaurant simulation. If my schedule doesn’t permit me to delve deeply into PoE2, I certainly hope I can find time to enjoy playing this alternative instead!

Now that it’s really chilling where I live, I get to bring out my collection of cozy blankets and thick sweaters that have been gathering dust until now. While I usually find various professional or casual excuses to play games, the cold weather has given me an extra nudge to explore different genres. I’m undecided whether I want to delve into more comforting games or those that provide a warming sensation. This could be the perfect moment to revisit Little Inferno again.
Perhaps, what really warms me up isn’t necessarily seeing fire or hot drinks on screen, but rather engaging in captivating gameplay. I just need to snuggle up with my favorite blanket and search for games that pair perfectly with my comforting cup of coffee. Maybe this chilly weather will guide me towards the best game yet.
