Vikrant Massey REVEALS taking break from acting just before watching The Sabarmati Report with PM Modi; shares his reason behind bold decision

As a lifestyle expert, I admire Vikrant Massey’s courage to prioritize his personal life over his flourishing career. His decision to take a break from acting to focus on being a husband, father, and son is commendable, especially for someone who has achieved so much at such a young age.

As a die-hard fan, I can’t help but share my excitement over Vikrant Massey’s recent announcement. This Bollywood star has stunned us all by declaring a brief hiatus from acting! In a heartfelt post, he revealed that the inspiration behind this decision came when he was invited to watch The Sabarmati Report alongside our honorable Prime Minister, Modi.

At the Agenda AajTak gathering, Vikrant Massey pondered over attaining the life he had long envisioned, leading him to understand it was time for a complete embrace of this reality. He disclosed his choice to take some time off, underscoring that life passes quickly, hence his intention to dedicate himself to just one movie in the coming year.

He mentioned that he needs a rest since all things, eventually, pass by, which is why he’s planning to work on just one film next year. Vikrant Massey further admitted that the expectations set by social media had an impact on his choice to announce his temporary hiatus.

He admitted that while he leads a public life, he is somewhat introverted by nature. He would prefer to engage with social media selectively, sharing only when it feels right.

After pausing to recall the event, the 12th Fail actor remarked, “I was just about to watch Sabarmati Report alongside our Prime Minister when I shared that post.” Born into humble circumstances, he had always harbored the ambition of acting in front of a camera. The profound significance of watching his movie with the PM left an indelible impression on him.

He mentioned that Prime Minister Modi hadn’t watched any movies in the last ten years, except for Vikrant’s film. This particular instance held great significance for him. Meanwhile, he was also navigating through the joyous yet challenging period of welcoming his son into the world, which left him with limited time to spend quality moments with both his wife, Sheetal Thakur, and their newborn child.

Vikrant Massey shared that a multitude of events were unfolding simultaneously, causing him to pen a reflection on Instagram about his role as an actor, son, father, and spouse. In this introspective moment, he pondered the question of what further accomplishments he could make in India’s film industry and expressed his determination to keep growing as an artist in the future.

On December 2nd, Vikrant decided to step away from acting temporarily, which he announced on Instagram. He expressed his heartfelt appreciation for the immense love and encouragement from his fans. As an actor who played characters in the 12th Fail, Vikrant felt it was important to take a moment to reassess and strengthen his relationships as a spouse, parent, son, and performer.

In 2025, he shared that it would be his final encounter with his audience for some time, looking back on his last two films and reminiscing about the precious moments spanning years. With sincere appreciation, he expressed gratitude to everyone for their unwavering support, leaving a touching note of feeling ‘eternally grateful’.

In cinemas starting November 15, 2024, you’ll find “The Sabarmati Report,” a movie starring Vikrant Massey. The film also showcases Ridhi Dogra and Raashii Khanna in significant roles. Directed by Dheeraj Sarna and produced by Shobha Kapoor, Ektaa R Kapoor, Amul V Mohan, and Anshul Mohan, this motion picture is inspired by the heart-wrenching true events of the Sabarmati Express’s S-6 coach being torched in Godhra on February 27, 2002.

In my role as a lifestyle guide, I’d like to shed light on an unfortunate incident that left a deep impact. As I returned from a pilgrimage in Ayodhya, I found myself part of a devastating turn of events. The journey back claimed the lives of at least 59 fellow Hindu devotees, triggering waves of violent unrest across the state. This film we’re discussing today delves into the poignant aftermath and far-reaching effects this heartbreaking event had on our community and beyond.

Next up, you’ll find Vikrant Massey acting alongside Shanaya Kapoor in the film titled Aankhon Ki Gustakhiyan.
