After the Swedish newspaper Aftonbladet published a report about rampant bullying and body-shaming at Djerf Avenue, the 27-year-old’s Instagram account has been inundated with criticism.
Unidentified sources asserted that certain team members were disparagingly referred to as ‘hefty’, while others were criticized for not fitting well in a pair of jeans. Critics discussed their apprehension towards Djerf, who reportedly favors some staff members over others and is known to become intimidating when upset.
On Tuesday, Djerf expressed her apologies to those who were affected following several days of silence. In an Instagram post, she admitted, “I wasn’t prepared,” alluding to her brand’s rapid expansion. She confessed that she had no prior experience in leading a team or building a company, and under the pressures of stress, fast pace, and inexperience, she fell short as a leader and colleague during the process. For this oversight, she expressed deep remorse.
