As a seasoned gamer with a penchant for epic fantasy narratives, I can hardly contain my excitement upon learning about the new additions to the cast of “The Wheel of Time”. The arrival of Olivia Williams, Luke Fetherston, Callum Kerr, and Nuno Lopes promises to enrich an already captivating tale.
The Wheel of Time continues to build out the cast for its upcoming third season.
The upcoming fantasy drama, slated for premiere on March 13 via Prime Video, has added Olivia Williams, Luke Fetherston, Callum Kerr, and Nuno Lopes to its cast as part of Andor’s royal family – the dominant nation in Robert Jordan’s fictional universe. This announcement follows that of Shohreh Aghdashloo as Elaida do Avriny a’Roihan, a significant member of the Aes Sedai.
In the role of Morgase Trakand, formerly seen in ‘Dune: Prophecy, The Crown’, will be played by Williams. Morgase, the queen of Andor, ascended her throne following a brutal conflict where she fought against numerous opponents. Since then, her oath has been to safeguard her daughter and heir, Elayne, from suffering as she did and making the same difficult choices. Contrary to being a tyrant, Morgase has proven to be one of Andor’s finest queens.
Fetherston takes on the role of Lord Galad, a proficient warrior and devoted guardian of his younger sister Elayne (Ceara Coveney, introduced in season two). Meanwhile, Kerr portrays Lord Gawyn, who, despite being the first-born child, does not hold claim to the throne as Andor is a matriarchy. Galad and Gawyn are the queen’s sons and princes of Andor.
As I step into the world of swords and sorcery, I embody Lord Gaebril, a man with a unique role in the court of Queen Morgase. Not only am I her trusted lover, but also her confidant when it comes to making strategic decisions concerning politics and warfare. In this grand adventure, I strive to guide her wisely as we forge our destiny together.
Four additional performers are added to the ensemble that already includes Rosamund Pike, Daniel Henney, Zoë Robins, Madeleine Madden, Marcus Rutherford, Dónal Finn, Ceara Coveney, Kate Fleetwood, Natasha O’Keefe, Ayoola Smart, and Kae Alexander.
Williams, Fetherston, Kerr, and Lopes are each represented by different talent agencies. Williams is associated with Independent Talent Group and Creative Artists Agency (CAA), Fetherston only with Independent Talent Group, Kerr by Lindsay Kutner at Revolution Talent and David Rosario at Roar, and Lopes by Subtitle Talent Agency, Authentic Talent, and AGM.
