Watch This Scare Tactics Victim React to Terrifying, "Human-Eating Monster" Cats

As a longtime fan of prank shows, I must say that the rebooted Scare Tactics on USA Network is a breath of fresh air. Each episode seems to outdo the last, and Episode 6 was no exception. The “Fear Kitty Kitty” prank on Dr. Kevin Scruggs was nothing short of brilliant!

With each new installment of USA Network’s “Scare Tactics,” reimagined by Executive Producer Jordan Peele, the pranks are growing increasingly grand and entertaining. In Episode 6, one unsuspecting participant on “Scare Tactics” went to great lengths, even risking everything, to help a stranger in distress.

Flip, our gracious host, puts it succinctly: cat ladies seem to have the knack of things. One of our subjects this week, Dr. Kevin Scruggs, boasts a wealth of knowledge about felines due to his profession as a veterinarian. However, an unexpected prank on him by his girlfriend Christie, orchestrated in the style of “Scare Tactics”, made Kevin yearn for the ability to reincarnate nine times over!

Kevin, who had fallen victim to the “Fear Kitty Kitty” prank, shared with USA Insider what transpired after the event. He explained that a friend of his father from church required assistance concerning an animal. Moved by compassion for animals, as he was, he immediately switched into veterinarian mode upon hearing this and was prepared to sacrifice himself.

In this episode, Kevin and Christie make their way to a massive mansion, where they encounter Jon Huck’s character, Matt. Upon arrival, they’re introduced to Matt’s elderly mother who seems distressed, claiming to hear voices from the basement and see mysterious men. Matt clarifies that his mother believes she owns multiple cats, although he assures Kevin and Christie that there’s only one, Misty – which explains her frequent, unexplained cat food purchases.

However, what he encountered was nothing new to Kevin, as he had previously come across similar hoarding cases involving numerous cats confined within limited spaces, such as those with over a hundred cats.

At that point in time, he claimed not to have had any inkling of what was happening, likening himself to someone completely unaware or oblivious. There were no warning signs!

“I guess I placed too much trust in people,” he said.

Soon enough, things got weird.

Man-Sized Demon Cats “Straight From Hell”

Kevin expressed a sense of urgency, saying, “We should hurry and resolve this situation quickly so we can escape from this large, intimidating dungeon. It’s where Misty appears to have been trapped.” However, the sounds echoing from behind that door were unsettling.

And, soon enough, a group of man-sized, demonic cats burst out and attacked Matt.

Kevin, quite predictably startled, nonetheless sprang into motion and attempted to free Matt from the clutches of the cats, who seemed sinisterly determined.

He exclaimed, “I couldn’t help but wonder, ‘In what bizarre way have these cats evolved into man-eating beasts?'” He described them as if they were mischievous spirits, “scampering about, seemingly conjured from the depths of hell.

Of course, it’s all fun and games in the end, and “Matt” quickly revealed the hoax.

Kevin’s ultimate reaction?

“I am never helping my girlfriend find a missing cat in a strange house again!” he said.

To get the full effect of these spooky pranks each week, watch new episodes of Scare Tactics when they premiere every Friday night at 10 p.m. ET on USA Network. Episodes are also available to stream on Peacock.
