As a seasoned gamer with years of experience delving into the intricate worlds of video games and the streetwear culture that often intertwines within them, I can’t help but feel exhilarated about the upcoming series, “Burnfield.” Having grown up admiring the iconic designs and collaborations from The Hundreds, and being a fan of Justin Chon’s work in both fashion and film, this announcement has stirred my excitement to new heights.
As reported by Deadline, Justin Chon and Bobby Hundreds are developing a half-hour dramatic series that delves into the intriguing realm of streetwear.
Titled “Burnfield,” the upcoming series is inspired by the creators’ personal experiences in the fashion industry. Bobby Kim, one half of the creative duo, established The Hundreds community-focused workwear label with Ben Hundreds back in 2003. Known for its distinctive graphic designs and cultural collaborations, The Hundreds has since made a name for itself. On the other hand, Chon was responsible for managing The Attic streetwear retail chain in Southern California for over a decade.
In this collaboration, Chon and Hundreds are jointly developing and overseeing the production of the series, serving as executive producers. Garrett Basch, who has experience with shows like “What We Do in the Shadows” and “Reservation Dogs”, is also an executive producer. The series, already acquired by FX ahead of time, will be steered by Chon’s direction.
Significantly, Chon and Hundreds are contributing to the biopic named Sublime, with KJ Apa in the lead role. The duo is crafting the screenplay for this film, which is derived from Chris Mundy’s initial script. Francis Lawrence, known for his work on the Hunger Games series, has agreed to direct the production.
At the moment, we don’t have any additional details about the cast, storyline, or premiere date for the movie ‘Burnfield’. Keep checking TopMob for updates as new info comes in.
