As a lifelong collector of New Era hats and a self-proclaimed fanatic for anything that combines fashion with sports, I was beyond excited to learn about Liberty x New Era Gobelin Hat collection. Having grown up in London and being familiar with Liberty’s reputation as one of the city’s legacy textile specialists, I have always admired their unique fabrics and designs.
When I saw the six floral designs that sport a premium Gobelin finish, my heart skipped a beat. The two 59FIFTY-shaped hats with Los Angeles Dodgers and New York Yankees branding were instant favorites, but the third option without any team allegiance caught my eye as well.
The prices for this collection start at an affordable range, making it accessible to both casual and dedicated hat enthusiasts alike. I can’t wait to add these beauties to my ever-growing collection on January 1, 2025, when they are set to release at 8pm EST via New Era Japan.
Now, if only they could find a way to make the hats come to life and cheer for my beloved Arsenal FC! (Just kidding, of course – I’ll stick with my authentic jersey for that!)
For several years, Liberty, one of London’s renowned textile experts, has provided exclusive fabrics to numerous brands, among them New Era. This dynamic duo has collaborated on various projects and is reuniting for the upcoming Fall/Winter 2024 collection, featuring six hats boasting a high-quality Gobelin finish.
The floral patterns initiate using two hats shaped like 59FIFTY, one displaying the Los Angeles Dodgers logo and the other showcasing the New York Yankees brand. A neutral option is also available in “Brown.” Meanwhile, the 9THIRTY caps feature two versions bearing the New Era label in both “Blue” and “Khaki,” with another plain “Brown” version included as well.
If you’re excited about the Liberty x New Era Gobelin Hat collection, mark your calendars! It’s set to launch on January 1, 2025 at 8pm EST exclusively through New Era Japan. The prices will start from around $31 USD for the 9THIRTY in “Brown” and go up to approximately $33 USD for the “Blue” and “Khaki” designs. For the 59FIFTY caps, expect to pay around $45 USD for the “Brown” style and slightly more at about $47 USD each for the MLB-themed options. The size range for the 59FIFTY hats spans from 7 to 8, while for the 9THIRTY designs, you’ll find sizes from S/M to L/XL available.
