In her discourse, Demi shared that despite spending 45 years in the acting profession, this was her inaugural victory as an actor. Reflecting on a past conversation with a producer, she disclosed that he once labeled her a “popcorn actress” 30 years ago. She elaborated on how this comment affected her, admitting that she felt capable of delivering successful films, but feared her work would go unrecognized.
In simpler terms, the actress went on to express that a few years back, she believed she had accomplished what she was destined for. However, during a tough phase in her life, she stumbled upon an extraordinary, daring, courageous, and utterly unconventional script for a project called “The Substance.” Demi also took a moment to thank her fellow actors, crew members, and fans who have stood by her over the years.
