The Golden Globes May Have Done Selena Gomez A Little Dirty, But Benny Blanco’s Sweet Take More Than Made Up For It

Selena Gomez has been consistently successful throughout much of her career, but she’s particularly been turning heads in recent years. She received nominations for her role in ‘Only Murders in the Building’, available on Hulu, as well as ‘Emilia Pérez’, which can be streamed with a Netflix subscription. Although Gomez didn’t win at the Golden Globes this year and felt slighted by the event, Benny Blanco’s heartfelt recognition has made up for it.

What Did Benny Blanco Say About Selena Gomez After Her Double Golden Globes Losses?

If you haven’t been following Selena Gomez’s recent activities (though I must admit skipping on this might be regrettable…), here’s an update. Not only has the singer of “Same Old Love” recently become a billionaire and is thriving in her career, but she’s also just got engaged to music producer/songwriter Benny Blanco. Their relationship seems to be a beautiful love story unfolding, and although Gomez didn’t win any Golden Globe awards for which she was nominated, Blanco’s comment on his Instagram about their time together at the event certainly makes up for it.

Oh my goodness! Can you believe how fantastic this is? I’m truly grateful for what I have, and I’ve never been one to hide the fact that I feel like I’ve hit the jackpot in love. I certainly hope this outpouring of affection continues, because in this chaotic world we live in, it’s a breath of fresh air to see genuine care and appreciation between people. To me, my partner is more than just a prize or trophy; they’re my cherished award.

The Golden Globes saw a significant moment for the now-adult actress Gomez, who was recognized for her performances in two current roles. In the Hulu series ‘Only Murders in the Building’, she plays Mabel, while in the film ‘Emilia Pérez’, she portrays a supporting character. Although she didn’t win either award (which went to Jean Smart from ‘Hacks’ and Zoe Saldaña from ‘Pérez’), it’s not uncommon for nominees not to take home the trophy, so Gomez, being an industry veteran, was probably anticipating this possibility.

It was quite unfortunate, from an external point of view, that she received two consecutive awards, not just back-to-back but as the very first and second prizes of the entire event! After creating an aura of Disney Princess elegance on the red carpet, Gomez found herself receiving a quick succession of losses, with each defeat coming within a few minutes. Could we possibly get her recognized in the Guinness World Records for this?

I must admit, it was incredibly disappointing not to see the gifted woman take home either award, but deep within, I sense that she walked away from that stage with a heart full of gratitude.
