There are some intriguing Hollywood secrets that a lot of us are curious about, one of which is what the actor famous for Home Alone, Kevin McAllister, does during Christmas. Fortunately, Brenda Song (his fiancée) has kindly revealed their holiday traditions to satisfy those of us who are eager to know. Contrary to popular belief, there are no booby traps like paint cans hanging around.
In a recent chat with Bustle, Song discusses her upcoming part in “The Last Showgirl,” slated to hit screens in 2025. Beyond delving into the Gia Coppola-directed indie flick, the Disney alumna, who is now a mom of two and engaged to Macaulay Culkin, shares insights about her life. She also discloses that she nearly quit show business. During this family-focused dialogue, the actress from “The Suite Life of Zack and Cody” revealed some of their usual Christmas traditions.
It’s traditional for us to celebrate Christmas in full swing. We set up the decorations, we put out the Elf on a Shelf, and open an Advent calendar each day. Every year, we take turns cooking and baking to keep our home festive. This time of the year is particularly special to us. He handles the kitchen duties, while I manage the oven. Our house is always warm and welcoming during this season.
As a movie critic, I must confess, there’s something undeniably charming about this star-studded duo. They keep things simple and authentic, which, judging by the joyous looks on their faces, seems to have created an extraordinary, effortless atmosphere. Given their recent milestones – engagement and the arrival of their little one a couple of years back – it’s no wonder they’ve embraced this timeless, family-oriented approach.
The magic of the holiday season seems to come naturally to them as a young family, especially with those enchanting, cinematic photos they manage to snap without breaking a sweat (a future film collaboration between Song and Culkin would be a dream come true!).
Let’s not overlook the fact that Macaulay Culkin, apart from Santa Claus, is arguably the most beloved public figure who perpetually spreads holiday joy for many. The event titled “A Nostalgic Night With Macaulay Culkin,” held this past Christmas season, showcased the enduring strength of his legacy and the film. The live tour was a hit, and I eagerly await future events or perhaps his acquisition of the iconic Chicago home from “Home Alone.” In the meantime, the news that he’ll be part of Season 2 of “Fallout” certainly satisfies this fan!
Discovering how Macaulay Culkin spends his holiday season has been quite surprising, and it’s all thanks to Brenda Song. I’m delighted that she and her children can enjoy their festivities with her fiancé without worrying about the swinging paint cans in his movies.
