Thom Browne Resort 2025 Fashions Whimsical Americana

Thom Browne‘s Resort 2025 collection appears familiar as it is, indeed, a reflection of its own past. Instead of hosting his traditional runway show during New York Fashion Week, the acclaimed American designer (also the chairman of the CFDA) chose The Commerce Inn for an intimate presentation. He invited a star-studded group to casually unveil his latest fashion creations. Snippets of his new buttoned-up designs were seen on models like Evan Mock, Addison Rae, and Alton Mason. Now, Browne has officially captured and showcased his entire Resort 2025 collection in a lookbook format.

In a conversation with TopMob, the designer shared that numerous codes featured in their collection seem to symbolize an idea of ‘Americana’, which might be more of a personal concept for them. They pointed out key pieces such as twin jacket-weight cashmere, madras plaid tracksuits with four-bar emblems, cotton suits adorned with patch pockets and stitched needles, and memory-tech utility coats as representations of this idea.

In other parts of the collection, you’ll find see-through and tech-savvy raincoats that shield their formal inner layers without hiding them, along with a barrage of fiery red pieces such as tailored blazers with broad shoulders, swinging overcoats, tweed jackets, dresses with buttons, and pleated skirts. Interspersed among these, Thom Browne’s traditional muted suits, red-white-and-blue stripes, playful embellishments, and dachshund-themed bags are as expected; however, the unique styling in this collection—oversized shirts under small coats and short shorts underneath large blazers—demonstrates the versatility of the Thom Browne wardrobe.
